Hey guys I've decided to go on the methadone program I go for my intake on monday (13th). I also tried about a year ago but the counselor wouldn't let me get on it because I have only been to treatment once in my 3 years of using but with the job I have I can't take a month off of work to go to treatment.
Anyways I've read on another site that you should go to your intake in withdrawal so the doctor knows that you are actually dependent on opiates. I know every clinic is different but have any of you guys heard about this at your clinics?
This clinic is privately owned as well and is not strict at all like the first clinic I went to, I even heard that the owner sells it on the street. But my question is for the past 3-4 months I have been buying methadone on the street to get me through the week until my next paycheck. When I get paid I spend 500-600 dollars on oxycontin in 4 days or so and than I have 11 days until my next check so that is when I use the methadone to ease the withdrawals. Should I tell the counselor that I have used methadone from the street a lot or would that some how affect me being able to get on the methadone??
Sorry for rambling!
