There's no contemporary evidence of Herod the Great ever organising such a massacre. The only source is the gospel of Matthew. So about eighty odd years later. No serious historians believe in it.

And no sectarianism amongst Jews before 79AD? Seriously?

Was going to start a thread, but I thought it might get moved to an American politics forum, and it's relevant to this thread.

This is the latest Farage racism scandal story. The accounts are mounting up, but I'm pretty torn as to how I think about it.

On the one hand, he quite possibly does still harbour these views.

On the other hand, we're talking forty years ago and more. People should be allowed to change their views and be given the opportunity to explain and atone for them. Everybody did something at school that they regret now. I'll admit that he seemed pretty consistent in his 'controversial' opinions, but that can change over decades with age and wisdom.

I advocated violence ('political' violence) for a long time, and way after school as well. I regret my position now, and I reject all forms of extremism.

Yes, he's a dick, but if he can muster a serious apology then I think that's enough without having to burn him at the stake.

I do hope it affects him negatively in the polls though.

Just as a reminder, “banter” is obviously absolutely fine. But direct personal attacks are absolutely not.

For better or worse, this is no longer oldskool BL - not even here on EADD Island. Rules - and enforcement where appropriate - are simply stricter now. Largely due to now being hosted in Australia where laws regarding harassment, hate speech and so forth are even stricter than in Online Safety Act Britain.

I got a warning myself a while back just for calling someone a cunt. What’s worse is they absolutely were being a cunt. But you can’t say it now - at least not directly and seriously. Use your imagination and a little common sense and you’ll likely be dandy.

And Labour did initially drop weed to class C. Gordon was under pressure, not just from his relative lack of popularity, but from the tabloid "WEED CAUSES SCHIZOPHRENIA' furore, which eventually died down, and the coalition government quietly dropped it back to class C.

Sorry I know, this is old post, it's funny when u think about it when starmer said every society are awash with huge drugs everywhere but I never hear if him mentioned about how Islam and foreigners are taking over uk!! Ffs uk are in seriously trouble, I don't know if u have seen clip recently where Islam have spoke of taking over the UK and possibly world and Hope to convert people into Islam! I thought this was fuckin CRAZY!! yet stramers said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING?? Wtf?? But stramers talk about crack cocaine and cocaime how seriously they have destroyed every community in uk, ordinary britsh people wanted starmer to do something about it. I do not know If this is true, but it does explain why they voted stramers in power .. I'm really concerned about uk future

Much as I loathe Farage and his ilk, I mostly agree with this.

I also held “revolutionary” views in my past. I completely and utterly disavow violence now.

As a kid I grew up in a very multicultural area and had many friends from many nations… we also played a game called “Race War” at lunch break.

This game consisted of all the white kids vs all the kids of colour basically beating the shit out of each other whilst hurling racial abuse back and forth.

I wouldn’t play nor condone such a game these days.

People do stoopid shit in their youth. That goes doubly so for privileged cunts who grew up in the public school system like Farage. In fact, I’d argue, these kinda cunts were even more racist due to extreme privilege limiting access to ethic minorities.

But even those kinda cunts can change.

I don’t for one moment believe he has, but an apology would be nice. Actual ant-racist comments would be a lot more meaningful though… but that would alienate a significant portion of his base and, let’s be real, his heart almost certainly ain’t in it :\

It was sank due to the USS Liberty gathering information on the jews regarding the mass round up and killing of Egyptian POW's. They admitted they did sank the Liberty on purpose, paid a few shekels to the sailors they killed, and went about their business.

I've had one following me round for the last 18 months getting his own back for me for "dissing" him in the 4-aco thread.
