Stamp collector...anyone else save stamps?

Apologies if this is too close to a stamp thread, if so I understand if it is closed

anyways...

Any other dope users collect their stamp bags? If so, what are some of the more memorable ones/humorous stamps you have? What about funny stamps you've come across in general? What about really cool stamps, or brand names that would bring about lawsuits if dope dealers were legal for trademark infringement?

I don't want this to be a stamp rating thread so much as a discussion of past stamps. It isn't what was/is in the bag this topic is about, but more about the bag itself

that being said, I have a somewhat large collection. I have purged two of my past collections, I hope to keep this as I find stamps really cool and somewhat artistic and interesting at least

some brand names I've come across:
viagra(a double lol considering what opiates do to sex drive)
ecko(complete with the rhino symbol and all)
kangol(same)
coca cola
old navy

Funniest I've come across is probably either viagra or one which was called 'creeper'(idk why, just got a laugh out of the stamp name)

another was too strong, which actually proved to be pretty good quality

ghetto was another funny one to me

one stamp I've had is "The Best", which sadly did not live up to its name. Fire on the other hand did

First bag I had was called OD, and it had a picture of a needle on it. Pretty morbid stamp to get, especially the very first time you do heroin

I like stamps with pictures much more than the ones without. I find the pictures can at times be creative, or add more to a stamp

Sometimes I think I'm as if not more addicted to stamps than the actual drug. Anybody else notice this? If dope were packaged in the same looking bag, I really don't think I'd be as drawn to the game, to be completely honest

that was back in the days when i wasnt bootin alot of dope yet, i was only doin around a bundle a day. I dont even know where the fuck the bags went once i was puttin away half a brick everyday, but i had alot. Too bad i aint got no pics of those stashes of empties there was thousands.

you can see some of the stamp names there. The one bag that is red and purple-blue ish faded on the stamp was this really fucking fire stamp that came from a well-known paterson building in the summer of 08. For a while they were putting out all these two tone stamps all sumer long and they were always FIIIIIRE. It started with lucky 7, then came Street Kings, then Painkiller and Addiction, later on was After Party, thats the one int he pic. it was teh same stamp each time, just the word in squareish block letters in the red and blue/purple two-tone ink, but they were always great. I miss those bags fo sho.

BTW, The blue bags aint from philly,every once in a while when i didnt feel like coppin i would buy bundles with a friend of mine who had a non-ghetto connect and bagged his own shit up in the blue bags.

I used to save some of the really cool ones. I think that i still have ONE, after all that, pasted in a notebook somewhere, it was the Beat It stamp when MJ died, i saved that one.

I knew people who used to paste each stamp in a book and rate it and date it. i never did that shit. like CS said, evidence. but now i wish i had. to be able to go back and look thru every stamp i ever did. Fuck that i woulda needed 10 notebooks for that shit haha.

I was wondering what people from NJ meant when they said the had picked up some "wider NY bags"...

Now I see that your NJ bags are a lot less wide than ours in NY, although I do get those sometimes.

Street Legal was one of my favorite stamps back in late 2006. Had a car doing a burnout on it, and then the text street legal. Just funny having that name, and the dope was above average and consistent for the month.

Other than that, Purple City was cool, with the city skyline pic.
 
The stuff i've seen is all just in normal tiny 'zip-lock' bags... The only thing that may change is the color of the zip-lock....other then that, the dope is always the same..so i hear... east coast but a little further south then NJ
 
i recognize the gucci's!!! <3 those put me out...my dude just got em fresh delivered and i was with him so i got the first ones of his bricks..... AMAZING

Do you cop in paterson or Newark? Or neither?

Either way, i got almost every one of those stamps from Paterson summer of 08. Gucci and beat i got again this year i think. Summer 09 i was off dope so i don't know, this year i was doing it occasionally while still maintaining on sub and definitely remember gucci and beat it, maybe even black president. But that could be memories merging.



And when i was addicted to dope, i collected my stamps not to keep the cool ones but to keep track of my use. I have a bag of what must be at least a few thousand stamps at my house back in Jersey (god i hope my dad doesn't randomly go through my shit lmao. It wouldn't be that bad though he knows i was an addict and also knows im totally clean now for the last 2 months, it would actually be slightly funny).

Anyway, that's not even nearly all the stamps i did. There were plenty i never saved. Those are mostly only the ones i did at my house. If i was out and about id pitch em as to not have evidence on me. Around Christmas/new years when im visiting in Jersey im going to go through them all and reminisce about my dope days, ill be able to see the stamps and depending on what it is remember when i got it and what i was up to at the time and what not. After which im going to "symbolically (lol) throw them into a bonfire. Should be fun to burn away my dope days.


Most awesome stamp i ever got was either late 07 or earlyish 08 i can't remember, but when speedracer was going around.

caseface those were all from paterson, a couple from newark but 99% of the time always paterson.

the guccis and black president in that picture was from paterson in the late spring of 09 tho, and beat it was from June of 09, like a few weeks after MJ died. so you prolly not remembering it right when you said you had those anytime recent. (obviously stamps come and go i am just sayin the particular ones in that pic were from like may and june of 09.)
 
in the UK we dont get stamps at all and those bags are very cool looking! we just get our shit tied up in the cornor of a sandwhich bag!

how do the dealers get those bags with the prints on them? sumone must be making them?
 
^ The are literally stamp bags... like for postage stamp collectors to use to preserve their stamps...

This thread makes me wish I lived on the east coast! I am a sucker for cool packaging. Here in Chicago I used to save all my empties When I went into rehab and my parents cleaned my shit out they were shocked. I had somewhere around 500 dirty needles, thousands of bags, capsules, foils, sandwhich baggies(from grams of raw) and all sorts of random drug business.

I had the same situation, you know its funny that so many of us had these drawers and drawers full of empties and needles and shit like that. and didnt think nothing of it. When anybody could just walked in and opened that drawer at anytime and the cat would be outta the bag... but none of us who stashed the empties ever thought to not do that. Weird aint it.
 
it seems to me from what ive gathered is that in jersey the stamps are not that consistent, am i right? in chi, u go to the same spot and it will for the most part be same bag, same dope. i have only been to one spot that was changin up its bags and dope for a while but when they got it right and the custys really liked it they stayed with it from then on.

so my question to summarize, if you go to the same spot in jerzey, are you gonna get the same dope all the time or is it a hit or miss?
 
It changes every day and lots of times several times a day. you go in the morning they got one stamp you go later they got a different stamp if its a real busy spot.

Also, we aint got the "spots" like yall do out there in chitown. You dont go to a "spot", you go to a dealer. Lots of dealers will be hangin out in particular areas, like sure you can always go to a certain project building or corner and there will be dealers there, but we aint got spots the way yall do. the way that out there each spot is ran by a certain team with different workers on different shifts, etc. It aint that organized here. its just that you go around certain areas and the dealers will be chillin there but you go to the dealer not to the spot. You get the number of the dealer and then anytime you want shit you just call him and he will tell you when and where to meet him at. you usually would meet him at a different place everyday. one day its the corner of X ave and east y street, the next day its at the corner of Z ave and east W street, etc. You are dealing with the dealer and the stamp that he got not a particular "spot".

There is some places where there will be basically the same team of dudes at the same general location and you will get served by each one of them over a period of coppin at that same area...but it aint the same way that yall got a particular gang or boss running a particular corner with workers underneath working the spots. Where yall at its a different person takin your money and givin you the dope each time for the most part, right? You might see the same guy/s on the regular when you go to that spot but it aint really a personal thing like you got the one dealers number and he is the one guy that you deal with exclusively, right?

here, you might have 15 or 20 numbers and you can go to whoever got the best stamp or will meet you in the area that you wanna be in, or watever. you choose who you wanna go to then call that particular guy. But its one guy, you get a relationship with him, you know him he knows you and you work with him, and you will meet the same guy over and over in different spots...You are dealing with an individual, not with a "spot", you feel me? There aint no "spots" that got the good dope or the bad dope, its the individual dealers that you would want to choose from when you want to find a particular stamp or w/ever. It aint like out there with "the rice spot" "the red tape spot", etc. Here its just the dealers and the stamp they got at the time, there aint no consistency for a spot becuz there aint a spot u feel me. its much more one on one than the game out there by you.

and as for dealin with different peeps everyday here in chicago, the spots i go to it is the same people i deal with. i had 3 spots id go to. one was 3 older people, 2 guys and one lady. you would tell the person standin at the front of the block wat u wanted and u would drive down the block and turn around, and half way back up u would be served.

the other spot, i would call the guy on the phone to let him no i was commin. he was always on the block but never touched the money or the dope himself.

the third, this crew ran out of a house. it would be the same guys out there every day. lol the one guy was always askin to take him to a party, wanted some white girl ass i suppose lol.
 
I dont but only because when I was getting dope I was getting chunks of tar.
