Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows the solubility and long term stability of 2c-X in 100% ethanol. would this be an ok long term storage solution if stored in a regular freezer?

awesome, what about solubilities. how much could I effectively get into 1.5mls of 100% ethanol without worrying about precipation?

high concentration and long term storage actually don't go together--

freezer storage will probably precipitate, requiring warming before any measurement.

room temperature storage probably can get above 100mg/ml for some of the more soluble members of the family.

additionally, i believe due to the salt nature of the most commonly encountered 2c-x, that 50/50 water (vodka 100pf) is a far better solvent than absolute ethanol. deionized and distilled with no odor of course.

I've had some 2C-I dissolved in vodka for about 18 months with no perceptible drop in potency.

See my post near the end of storage and solubility for some solubility numbers based on my experiments. All pretty rough estimates at room temperature.

2C-I solubility is the lowest of the common 2C's, by the way.

If you store is in the freezer, the solubility will be MUCH lower.
