I may be getting switched to an SSRI tomorrow. How will that affect my use of other drugs? Specifically psychedelics, but I'd also like to know about cannabis, painkillers, etc.
that is a big question to answer so much and so little can happen it's all how you specifically react to SSRIs
Nothing will happen immediately because SSRI's take 4-6 weeks to take full effect. However, avoid taking substances that are serotonergic (stimulate release of serotonin) because after your brain is flooded with the chemical the SSRI will prevent it from being removed from the brain. Too much serotonin in the CNS will cause Serotonin Syndrome and if you know anything about it... It's rather unpleasant, more severe symptoms include seizures and due to high blood pressure and heart rate cause shock.
