Benzos ssri with some substituent of alcohol ?

hello,
Under sertraline(zoloft)50mg since 6months.
I can't mix it with alcohol in some nights or when I want meet new people.
So i search alternative substance who desinhibit and euphorize, that is ok whith SSRI.

i search a substance with the the shortest half life, because I ld consume it just 1day/week.

so, I tried in the past diazepam alprazolam which were not efficient, long half life and just tired whithout désinhibition.

recently I use zolpidem which seems to work with euphoric and désinhibition sensation whith a short half life (2h).

I'm a current sertraline eater and former serious booze drinker.

It all depends on the reason you don't want or cant use alcohol. One reason not to, is that it'll interfere with your therapy.

This and your other post, though, makes it sound like you're just looking for a buzz, and probably found it.

I wouldn't mix zolpidem/Ambien with anything, though. That one's kinda nasty.
 
I don't use alcohol becauze lot of doctors said the copvo ad + alcohol is toxic for cell brains and decrease the sertraline efficient activity : i wonderif doc say that because he have to repeat it automtically whithout scientific proof .

However i know even uder sertraline, i could drink 10cl of vodka whithout problem. but i'm scared for brain...
 
Ok, sorry, I'd written a long thing about it and saw your last post, and had weird late night meth thoughts.

I was told by a psychiatrist a long time ago that the combination is bad for your therapy. Drinking alcohol can worsen mood swings and depression, so the idea is, if you are being treated for depression, you shouldn't drink. I don't know of any evidence of chemical interaction, but it's been a long time since I looked. I'l look at it again.

But remember, it is your own therapy you might be messing with. ANd if you still need help around ew people, you should maybe increase your sertraline; 50mg is on the low end. Substituting anything else has the same problem: it's interfering with your therapy, more so than your brain cells.

Ten centiliters, 100mL? That's not a huge amount of vodka, right on the threshold of worrying about your brain without sertraline.

okay if it's just "bad" for the mood, i can handle it lol.

if it s just difficult morning and sadness feeling that you expériences even whithout ssri after drinking, it's ok.

i see.
 
Well, the idea is, why take the sertraline if you still drink?

I don't know how true it is if you drink like once a week, but that's how it was told to me. So yes, just about mood, not brain cells.

Gabapentin is truly wonderful. But tolerance is rapid. It won't get you high for a party, but it will put you in a good place for one, if you time it well.
 
I tried lot time pregabaline a'nd I feel stone but little euphoric and have memory difficult for talking... comparing alcohol i am great speaker

So, if gabapentine is different of pregabaline I could try it...
 
Gabapentin and pregabalin have the same mechanism of action. Pregabalin is stronger and takes effect sooner.

Some people seem to swear they work differently; I've never tried pregabalin.

Gabapentin is harder to dose if you want it to be working in time for a party.
 
scrofula thank you. how many time you tooke it before party and what dosage. because for pregabaline it is like 4h before the party...
 
okay my friend. I decided by doing like you. I drink with SSRI. I started yesterday 2bottles of red wine and it was very good party.... but i just did not arrive sleeping the night because I think that I had a tyramin crisis, because yesterday i ate lot chocolates, cheeses, and the wine.... so my intern wealth level were high...
 
I never thought of eating rich foods as increasing my interior wealth. I'm going to from now on.

You couldn't sleep after two bottles of wine? 1.5 liters?

Anyway you wouldn't get a tyramine problem from an SSRI, usually just MAOIs. They're also a whole lot worse than just causing insomnia.
 
ok now, I usually drink 3/4days per week whithout any difference of drinking whithout sertraline... I just would like now if it s ok to mix sometimes viagra(sildenafil) ?

because i know that viagra + ssri is ok but whith alcoohl +viagra for some party + viagra ?


I already did it in the past as mix alcoohl with ssri but i would like to be sure
