SSRI for one week..

Hello Bluelighters!

Situation: Let's say that someone had used SSRI's, 25 mg of Sertraline (Zoloft) for one week, one time per day. As SSRI's take some time to build up and take full effect, would it be possible to roll on MDMA after one week of use, followed by one week of cessation? In other words, one week of 25 mg sertraline followed by one week with no SSRI.

I know that many factors will influence this, such as metabolism. But generally speaking, considering the small time period that the SRRI's were taken, would it typically take longer than a week off SRRI's for the brain longer to revert back to it's normal state?

I know we are not supposed to SWIM here, but in this case I am legitimately asking this question for an individual who I care about more than myself and I want to ensure that they would be rolling safely, and that they would in fact be able to roll considering they have been off SSRI's for only a week.

Additional information: No MAOI's have been taken, no other prescription medication / illicit drugs have been consumed in the past.
 
I think that is the person is not taking SSRI and haven't for 1week wil have the same effect as every one else..

And it not it's not dangers more then that MDMA is.
 
For how long would the serotonin level returns back to normal varies from person to person.

Best thing to do is to continue taking your SSRI and not to roll.

But if you have really determined to roll, then do it and don't stop taking the SSRI. Bear in mind that you may probably need more MDMA to roll with as the MDMA will compete with your SSRI for the serotonin transporter.

SSRI stops serotonin from being pumped back to the neuron, so there will be a lack of serotonin to be released. But thats one of the effects that SSRI has even without the presence of MDMA, you don't have to stop taking your SSRI after the roll.

Bear in mind that the therapeutic effect of SSRI could be reduced after ingesting MDMA.
 
Has some one noticed significant diference with SSRI and SNRI?

Like SNRI's will make it almosed imposible to reach a real hard rool??
