I'm a vegan and have been eating uncooked, living foods predominantly for the past 8 months or so.

I could go on and on about how intense the consciousness change is when eating living foods, and about how it is akin to the more 'clear' aspects of the psychedelic head-space..but thats for another day.

the point at hand: sprouting

This is a common practice in the raw foodist community, as it converts chemical constituents responsible for dormancy into 'living' compounds. the fiber content, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acid counts all change as starches and other chemicals are broken down into less complex forms to feed the process of life....just google it if you want to know the science, its a pretty magical change.

anyways, i'm a passionate psychonaut as well....so i got to thinking...How would the effects of psychedelic seeds vary while undergoing the sprouting process. Morning glory came to mind, i was wondering if the lysergamide cocktail would undergo any changes, as well as if the more 'toxic' and harsh components might be lessened.

Just from experience, sprouted seeds and nuts 'go down a lot smoother'...so in the least, that's a desirable quality to start a trip out on. Though any scientists among us i'd be curious to hear from....

Seems this could be applied to a range of seeds, yopo perhaps...?? often raw foodists will soak nuts or seeds, and then re-dehydrate them, so you have a 'living' nutritionally-thriving seed to eat in a nice crunchy form....i wonder if yopo was sprouted and then dehydrated before crushing to prepare how it would effect the experience as well as the preparation method required for insufflation.
