Interesting note: there are two director's approved cuts of The Shining, the european one being shorter than the international one by ten to fifteen minutes. Kubrick wanted it like that.

edit: oh, and if you haven't already watched this film, do yourself a favor and watch it ;)

IMDb notes this: "119 min (cut) (European) | 144 min (original)"

The maze scene with the scale model is missing from the european cut. I don't know for the rest, but you can find the differences easily on the web ;)
