split second colour flash before going purple to black

ive been using mandelin marquis and mecke to test various pills over the last week what im noticing there is a split second colour flash before the rapid purple to black the colour flash is either orange or green depending on the test kit used. the last pill i tested was an orange wifi i cant remember which reactant it was but it flashed green went to purple black but still had a green outer ring with the black. was just wondering does anybody know what causes this.

What causes this is usually a very high concentration and purity of MDxx in a pill.

If it was the mandelin I've seen a flash of green with pills (mac reboots http://www.pillreports.com/index.php?page=display_pill&id=32098) that tested as MDMA.

If it's the marquis an it flashes orange it's has meth , an if it flashes green it "might" have 2cxx but most people won't cut mdma with 2cxx
