speeding for weight loss

swim has always been on the larger then normal side, but swim is now bigger then he has ever been. swim struggled his first time with his girl christina, he didnt know how to treat her right and swim lost everything till he finally left her, swim was 18.

swim is now 20 and 250lbs at 5'4, he was in a serious relationship with mary for a year straight they would just hang out and go eat, everyday allday...dont get swim wrong he loves mary she will always be number one. but Swim got intouch with christina over the weekend and now are trying it out again. swim knows shes no good for him, but hes not here to be judged for his choices only guided by the wiser. Im sure plenty of ppl share the same issue here with swim or has advise from their experience. so christina has been with swim since friday night, and has loved every waking second with her.

So the reason for swims post is that he is with christina for the weight loss, swim knows its wrong and theres alot of risks but christina makes him happier, and days have seemed better since. with that and how christy motivates him to workout and not want to eat. swim doesnt see stopping anytime soon...but like swim mentioned before he knows how bad she is for him. health wise.

so now swim is reaching out to the wiser, swim hasnt ate since friday night, he has just been drinking water like crazy he did have a v8 sunday night and was able to fall asleep a good amount of hours, swim doesnt use heavy. he loves how christy makes him feel but hes more interested in losing weight and only turns up when hes feeling hungry. swim hasnt weighed himself yet but he hasnt seen any noticeable change yet. swim whats the max out of this relationship but also wants to remain in control or prevent most if not all issues, health wise..

swim starts herbal life protein shakes tomorrow, will that help prevent swim from losing muscle mass and promote weight loss? from swims research hes found the cause to be the increased metabolism breaking down and processing food leads to the weightloss. hes read several threads that feel like some facts contradict one another? for instance, if your not eating your body goes into starvation mode and stores food when it can, but if your metabolism is up then how is that possible? if i eat with christy is that stored or burned? when is swim going to see weight loss? what are some exercises swim can do to speed up weight loss?

Using stims to lose weight is a dangerous path - I much rather be a few hundred pounds overweight and diet correctly than addicted to something like Meth. Quit using meth, look at how much physical exercise you do and how many calories you burn. Look at how many calories your eating - if your eating more than you burn you will gain weight. Eat a few smaller meals throughout the day, cut back on the processed foods and try and be a bit more active.

We don't use SWIM here. We know it's you, and it offers you no legal protect anyway.

Starving yourself leads to deficiencies in the digestive organs, resulting in a decline in their function and a slowing of the base metabolic rate of the body. As organ function is impacted, you will begin to crave refined sugar and monosaturates because they are the least complex fuel sources for your weakened digestive system to process. This results in weight gain. Water metabolism is also affected, so it's also common for fluid retention to happen which makes you look more fat than you actually are.

The long-term lack of success in calorie restriction diets (or "starvation" diets) is now a lot more understood than it used to be. There's no short cut to loosing weight other than eating the right kinds of food and proper exercise, as both maintain the body's metabolic rate.

Don't bother losing weight by not eating for days on end - your body will just panic and shove itself in to 'starvation mode', burning off any calories that do come your way very slowly and cautiously, and your metabolism will slow right down. This is actually a very clever little trick the human body has evolved to help people survive through times of food scarcity, but for yourself, it's pretty much just going to translate into not burning as much fat as you'd like.

Amphetamines also aren't a great way to lose weight. They can cause psychosis, they do a huge amount of damage to your body, and every time I have had a brief binge, I have found that my body pretty much demanded that I inhale the contents of my kitchen and a couple of take-aways in the few days after I stop. Your body isn't stupid, and it knows how to make up for lost time.

Long story short, you can't lose weight this way. Even if it seems like you can, you'll end up ill (and you will look TERRIBLE, I mean, seriously, not eating and speeding for long periods will quickly give you bags under your eyes and spots and tooth damage and thinning hair that will make being fat seem like a very minor physical flaw). You'll put the weight back on after you stop taking the drugs, and because any weight loss you achieve will be gained with the use of drugs, when you stop taking them, you will find that you are not strong enough, and have not learned the skills, to keep a healthy and happy weight long term.

If you wanted to be ten pounds lighter just for one day (prom, a wedding, I don't know) then you might be on to something (not something healthy, but something). As it is, it sounds like you want to lose weight and keep it off. You want more control over your weight. Taking a drug doesn't give you that, it simply hands control of your weight and appetite over to a substance.

Find exercise you enjoy. People misunderstand exercise - it doesn't have to be at a gym or going for a run or doing crunches. Novel ways to burn calories include:
- sex
- rambling
- gardening
- throwing knives
- learning hand-to-hand combat
- dancing (can be alone, in your bedroom, if you're shy)
- yoga and pilates (yes, for dudes as well)
- swimming

... and on and on. Once you've found something, schedule it in. 1-3 times a week, start slow. You don't have to fix your diet, your exercise regime and everything else all at once. Baby steps. Maybe start by promising yourself that whenever you sit down for a meal, at least half of your plate will be vegetables. When that has just become habit, add something new, say, offering to walk an elderly neighbors dog twice a week. After a couple months, this is just part of your routine, and you can work on something else, like always carrying an apple and making it the first snack you turn to when you're peckish. You get the gist. By doing this, you will gradually move into a slightly different lifestyle that puts your weight in your control, rather than your current situation which is just moving you further and further away from what you actually want.

And, for the record, I say this as a fat bastard. Which, oddly, means I actually know what I'm talking about - I've done the fads, taken the pills, binged, starved, drunk shakes, had more exercise regimes than I can count... the only thing that works, THE ONLY thing that works, is to have a relationship with food and movement that you are comfortable with, and which you can carry on with for the rest of your life.

If it helps at all, one thing that improved my diet significantly was going vegetarian and cutting out gluten. Nothing to do with an allergy (although I do have some sort of intolerance, gluten gives me mad gas) but just because I find that I can only have control over what I eat when it's all-or-nothing, and simply banning gluten and meat means there's a lot less unhealthy junk food readily available to me. I pretty much have to just eat real food.

Losing weight is not worth a meth addiction. Get some exercise and eat a healthy (but not deficient) diet.
 
Like several peopel have said it comes down to a simple equation Calories in vs calories out. Calculate your caloric needs fro your current weight with this :

Now drop your needs by 500-800 calories daily, this in its self will help you drop weight. Add in a moderate exercise program, start slow then as you become more fit you can slowly add to the program. You will hear a lot of cardio is king for weight loss, well frankly it can be but most of the time people do long low impact sessions, that do not really maximize your caloric out put. Now start off slow, but when you become comfortable with a daily routine switch over to high impact cardio, short bursts of intense exercise http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/high-intensity-cardio things along this line at first. Add in some weight training as putting on lean mass is a great way to keep the fat off, just maintaining the muscle is more expensive then maintaining the fat. The whole key however is the diet, moderation is key, try stay away from fad diet BS and stick to proven common sense diet. The fact of the matter is people are right, stimulants, especially strong stimulants like Meth are just assassin for weight loss, in the long run you end up destroying your health, to what loose a few pounds? I think most chicks would prefer a guy a little chunkier then having jacked teeth, constantly picking at your skin, and having that oh so fresh I haven't slept in days aroma.
