Cocaine Speedball Dangers?

Wondering about mixing some coke and heroin in a line to snort.
I understand the dangers of heroin overdose due to chasing the coke high, but is this combination inherently dangerous to do at the same time? Or is it possible to remain "safe" if doses are safe?
Also is it worth it or are the parts greater than their sum?

No it isn't really "dangerous" per se.. I mean, no more dangerous than doing any of those drugs by themselves... Is it worth it? Well, I only shoot speedballs so I all I know is that it's damn worth it to me. But, I know many people who snort the two drugs together and it's a very pleasant experience.

The danger is that people tend to use a lot more heroin/opiate than usual to counter the effect of the stimulant. This is more common with I.V drug users, as shooting coke is very fiendish, leading to repeated injections of both heroin and cocaine.

Yeah I'm aware of this, I was just unclear if the combination was inherently bad or if the actions it could lead to were the only danger.

Totally. Which is why If I plan on doing coke and dope in the same night, I'll start off with a fat speedball and then do straight coke shots while I'm fiending until the white runs out, then I'll do a big shot of dope at the end. Maybe one or two extra speedballs in the middle, but not every single shot. It's a waste of dope (as well as dangerous) considering once I'm tweaking on coke, I just want more coke! But it's great to have dope for the end to take away the crash and just bring you back down to reality.

Yea as people have mentioned, the danger isn't actually in the upper downer combo itself, that is more of a myth. Uppers and downers aren't gonna be having a tug of war with your heart or CNS, rather they find a medium and it's actually probabley a bit safer to be on a bit of opiates while doing coke.

The danger comes in play when you shoot a speed-ball, and then are like dang that was a nice rush but i don't feel very high from the heroin! (this is of course because the coke is covering it up). So people will shoot up extra dope and end up over doing it, and they don't realize it until the coke wears off and they pass out and stop breathing.

Yeah I'm gunna keep this in mind, probably only gunna have dope in the first line and stick to white after that
