yes, i have searched through this site. I am curious if anyone has any similiar experiences when you iv cocaine. When I get myself a good shot and of course a banging ear ringer, I also notice a lot of stress in my chest,it obviously must be the heart. Does anyone else feel this and/or know exactly what it is?

I know iv'ing coke is dangerous and even worse speedballing it. This is why I make sure to not make this is a constant thing. I'm curious about though since I can smoke lots of rock or shoot plenty of dope and not feel anything like this. Anyone with any input?

maybe something to so with the way both drugs are pulling your body in different directions? For a more biochemical type answer, ignore this one and wait. I know that cocaine causes a build up of some kind of scar tissue in the lining of the heart but as for the details, errrr, no idea.

I've never injected coke or "speed balled" before, but if your getting chest pains it's your body telling you something is wrong.

Cocaine puts a lot of strain on your heart, so does meth, and when you inject cocaine I believe it is much more intense because it goes right into your bloodstream.

I would recommend that you stop doing it, everybody's body is different and when you combine drugs you NEVER know what is going to happen.

By you saying you smoke rocks and shoot plenty of dope, thats just more of a reason for you to stop doing it as it sounds like your body might be saying "thats enough".

When you do serious drugs for too long, and on a constant basis, your body develops problems because it cant function properly nor is it getting the nutrition it needs due to suppressed appetite from the drugs.

Change your lifestyle man, im not your teacher or your mother, im probably younger then you, but think about your life and your health, you only live once.

Good luck.

You believe when you inject cocaine it is much more intense??? You BELIEVE? You make it sound as if your not sure! OF COURSE IT'S MORE INTENSE!

When your snort, eat, smoke, et cetera, it gets into your bloodstream. That is not why injecting is more intense. It is more intense because you go from being sober, to peaking, quicker than any other method. All of the drug is in your bloodstream as soon as you clear the rig, and "together" as well. A slow IV drip is not intense. But when your bloodstream is 0% said drug, and then suddenly 30% said drug, you get a rush.

Kastr0, you are saying alot of wrong things....

When you combine drugs, if you are experienced or educated on the "subject", you will and DO know what is going to happen. What your saying there is sort of ignorant. From your statement, one can assume that doing a single drug, you will NEVER know what is going to happen. This element that combining drugs creates complete ignorance on what will happen is absurd. I can't believe what your stating here! You are saying that no one in the world can possibly know what is going to happen when they combine drugs?

So if I sip some alcohol, and take a small puff of tobacco, I will not know what will happen? Your saying I might turn into a cat? I might win a million bucks? I could die? I could grow five arms? I don't know it's all so confusing! And certainly, no one else, not one single soul, in this world knows either!

That's a load of bullshit when people say don't combine drugs, it's dangerous and you don't know what will happen. Who told you this, the DARE officer? And yet I'm sure your quick to spout off how much bullshit it is that marijuana will make you crazy. I don't understand why so many people are so quick to refute "[mis]information" given by the government about drugs like marijuana, yet are so quick to accept everything the government and anti-drug groups say about drugs like heroin, and combining drugs.

When someone combines heroin and cocaine, one will feel the effect of cocaine because it overrides the heroin. When the cocaine effects wear off within 20 minutes or so, the heroin will seemingly "rush" into the person, and the user will feel an intense rush of a heroin high, when really the very strong heroin high is just being revealed because of the masking cocaine fading away. It is a very intense high. Look Kastr0, I must be god.

How in the hell is his body telling him to stop doing drugs if he said he is experienced in smoking rocks and shooting dope? Where does he mention he is feeling adverse health affects?

Serious drugs? What the hell are serious drugs? Did the DARE officer classify serious and non serious drugs for you ? Stop speaking out of your asshole and sticking to stigma so much. Think for yourself, research a little bit, and use facts instead of opinion. Every drug is serious, and one should educate themselves on all the true aspects of a drug because taking it. It is just sheer luck, I believe, that most illicit drugs are relatively safe on the body, even after repeated use.

See what I'm confused is, whomever your getting your information from, who will I will refer to as the DARE officer, is full of shit and wrong things. Now, you may not know that. But you know what he said about marijuana is wrong. You know what he said about alcohol is wrong. So why do you believe what he says about everything else? If a weather reporter is wrong on every forecast, are you going to listen to him about tommorow's forecast to see what your plans are? It seems like you would....

Supressed appetite causes nutrition deficiency? Your an idiot. People who educate themselves on drug usage, realize the said drug will cause supressed appetite, and will take some supplements to get the nutrition they miss from not eating. Or, they will just eat regardless of appetite. You sound like your talking to a toddler here. What problems does your body get? And you make it sound like all "serious" drugs cause problems to the body.

your right your not a teacher or mother, your an uneducated moron by the sounds of your last post.

Yea good luck jersey drape, be careful of the misinformation like that out there.

To answer you jersey drape....

I feel the stress in my chest too when I do alot of coke IV, or even any other method of adminisrtation as well. Coke is a stimulant, and will cause your heart to pump faster than normal. The stress is similiar to the stress you'll feel after sprinting a 100 meters. Your heart is just beating fast, that's all. Next time your coked up, maybe try taking your heart rate. It's sped up.

Actually, I don't think IVing coke is dangerous. I think it's safer than all other methods of administration. The only difference is there's less room for error, meaning that it takes much less powder to make the difference of no high ot fucked up, and fucked up to overdose, and overdose to a fatal or harmful overdose. Still, I think it still takes a significant amount more than a person's normal dose to get a harmful overdose. However, overdose is an error in calculating one's dose, and I think that risk is different from the dangers of the actual administration itself.

Perhaps the reason you don't feel the stress when you smoke rocks and shoot dope is because smoking rocks is not intense and cause your heart rate to shoot up (no pun intended) like it would if you shoot up your coke. Shooting up coke is alot more intense than smoking it.

Personally, when I do a speedball, I find the experience much more intense than a large shot of H or coke. I believe this is due to your heart feeling downer and upper effects at the same time, and is not quite as steady as it would be on just one of those drugs. Though your heart rate isn't really steady on coke or H, it's a "smooth" path. On coke your heart rate shoots up, and levels down to normal. On H, it goes down and levels back up. On a speedball, your heart rate is all over the place.

When you combine drugs, if you are experienced or educated on the "subject", you will and DO know what is going to happen....That's a load of bullshit when people say don't combine drugs, it's dangerous and you don't know what will happen.

If you're experienced or educated on a subject concerning drug combinations, then you probably will have a good idea of what the outcome will be. But most drug users (at least the ones I know) really aren't all that educated, and there's some users who know nothing at all.

And when combining drugs, you can't just assume that you can take a proportional amount of each drug what you would take of each one separately, because two drugs could compound each other's effects, or have some reaction that would be unforeseen for someone who wasn't aware of the outcomes of that specific combination. Example - Mix coke and alcohol, you get the formation of the cocaethylene, which has more potency than cocaine alone in affecting heart rate and increases the effects of various other aspects of physiology.

Heroin overdoses are an example of how overdoses can be made more likely by other drugs. It's common to find other drugs besides heroin in overdose autopsies. It makes sense - if you take multiple cns depressant drugs, there will be a greater depressant effect on your central nervous system.

On a speedball, your heart rate is all over the place.

I was under the impression that this was the reason speedballs are dangerous, as an irregular beat causes stress to your heart, or something along those lines.

Coming back to the original question,
I know iv'ing coke is dangerous and even worse speedballing it. This is why I make sure to not make this is a constant thing. I'm curious about though since I can smoke lots of rock or shoot plenty of dope and not feel anything like this.

I think IV coke is more risky than crack because you're putting all of a dose in you at once. When you're smoking crack, each hit you take is just a fraction of the total amount you wanna do in a sitting. So if you're starting to get to a risky amount of the drug for a period of time when smoking, you can feel that you've had enough. If you shoot it, you misjudge the amount to use in one shot and inject it all at once without pushing it in by fractions to see how it's hitting you, there's the potential for overdose.

And assuming you meant heroin by dope, heroin has the opposite effect on the body than coke, one's a depressant, the other a stimulant, so you could shoot lots and lots of heroin, and it wouldn't give you that super-fast heartbeat, rather the opposite.

When speedballing for the first few times, to be safe you could start off w/ doses of each drug that are smaller than your dose of each by itself until you know the right amount for you. That way you make sure it's a safe dose, and you can just adjust the amount based on how strong it was.

Coke via IV is risky because it's a local anaesthetic, which reduces the transmission of the pulse from the sinoarterial node (the pacemaker) to the ventricles, which do the main bit of pushing blood around the body. The sino-arterial node co-ordinates the contraction of the the atria and ventricles; fuck up that co-ordination with an IV local anaesthetic, and your heart doesn't pump blood as well.

The fact that cocaine is also a sympathetic stimulant (works on the sympathetic nervous system), which makes the heart beat faster doesn't really help either

You don't think that introducing a concentrated amount of cocaine HCL directly INTO your heart is any more cardiotoxic than smoking it or sniffing it??

I'm not disagreeing with you per se.....it may not be....I was just always under the impression that it was MUCH worse for the tissues and muscles that make up the heart....

I'm gonna search for a study(there must be one somewhere) on how different methods of administeration of coke affects the heart...

and to the orig. poster--I used to get the same kind of pains you speak of....and after a night of heavy IV coke binging, these pains would often linger for days after......kinda scary.....made me feel like if I did any physical excersise at all, I'd have a heart attack!!!:(

CreativeRandom... considering that about 90% of fatal cocaine ODs involve a needle.. I think you're mistaken about it's degree of safety...

people go the IV route because you can get higher than by freebasing... higher=more danger

p.s.people also go the IV route because it's hard to smoke crack and register a shot at the same time... Yes.. I've tried

LOL me too...that's funny.....

I know someone who is mentally retarded for life now....because of speed balls. This is someone who knew drugs, & researched them vigorously.
He did the speed balls, and nodded out on his back, puked and choked on it. He is lucky that he is even alive and barely remembers his family now.
:(

Please be careful, and remember

"Everything in moderation...even moderation"

saying IV administration of cocaine is not dangerous is a farce, IMO. it is a lot more intense than insulfation and the user needs to always watch what dose they IV. if a user is anything like me they will have to be extremely careful, because I rarely IV cocaine and when I do it is very easy for me to "feel I did too much." I don't think I can IV as much white as normal IV users can, but I am always paranoid about the detrimental affects on my heart and respiratory system.

CreativeRandom, or should I say Keyboard&Mouse? If you're gonna have the hide for attacking someone for not being 100% accurate, or getting their facts right, then you should take try your very hardest to get yours straight to avoid looking like the absolute fuckwit that you are.

What Kastr0 said made alot of sense to me.

Ohh and by the way, if you're talking about someone, you address that person as "you're", not "your". To me, that is uneducated.

Alright... I have decided. If Le Junk is so passionate about proving that today's cocaine is adultrated, then I will be just as passionate about proving that people today take WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH coke for ANYTHING. Whether this has to do with Le Junk's impurity facts or not, I still think that, with cocaine, there is a level where taking more (IV or not) will NOT really get you any higher but significantly increase the risks.

If you get chest pains from cocaine (IV or otherwise), you are either taking WAY TOO MUCH, or, you have a serious condition and should not take coke at all.

If you get chest pains from speedballs, you have WAY TOO MUCH coke.

Again, people take WAY TOO MUCH COKE to achieve something that is not so much better but way more dangerous than a SLIGHTLY lower dose may have granted.

When I am blessed with the chance to combine cocaine and opiates (very rare, but that gross sex thing doesnt even compare), I always take HALF my snorted dose of cocaine (provided it is from the same batch - never IV new cocaine, even from the same dealer, without testing strength first). The POINT of combining opiates is NOT to have the coke overpower the opiate. The POINT is SYNERGY, which you cannot appreciate when the coke rush is overpowering the opiate, because you took WAY TOO MUCH cocaine.

Oh, did I mention that people take WAY TOO MUCH cocaine??

^^^I love that, just picturing the visual struggle had me laughing.

I just blow a rail or two and push the plunger in. I know it's not the same, but the closest I'll ever come to speedballing since I'm aprehensive of anything else. Had a good friend who fatally OD'd with this, and mixing these two is really no joke and I wouldn't advise anyone to fawk with it, ever. I'd guess mixing the two substances into a rig would be optimal for this crazy high, but to me that sounds like russian roulette.
