speed of reaction vs. concentration?

Sorry if this has been asked before but my search turned up nothing.....
I know that an EZ test cannot tell you how much MDMA is in a pill, or reliably whether it is MDA, MDEA or MDMA.
What I was wondering - is the speed of reaction to black an indication of the concentration of MDxx in the pill? For instance, will a large pill with 75mg MDMA turn black slower than a small one with 75mg?
Common sense suggests to me that if the same size of sample is used then the one with more active ingredient should give a faster colour change (but common sense isn't always correct I know).
Can the filler compounds affect the result? If so, can it be reliably said that only MDxx will give the required result? I'm assuming here that the fillers are physically bound to MDxx rather than chemically which may or may not be correct. Any chemists want to help me out here?

No, not at all.

That would make sense but it is not like that, it has to do with the filler compounds.
These sometimes make the reaction go slower (for some reason)
I have seen a purple tulip that turned rather slowly to black, particles hardly dissolved, strange spots were everywher ein the reaction.
However, it went almost black and contained 99 mg mdma.
I have seen a Snoopy with 80 mg of mdma that went black slower than a 40 mg Snoopy.
The best reaction you will get with powder, then it will actually bubble a little bit, plus a genuine reaction ;-)

It is really hard to say.

Yes, in this sense that filler compounds affect the speed of the reaction.
Filler compounds normally don't react to the reagent.
If it reacts, it is not a filler compound anymore.
If so, can it be reliably said that only MDxx will give the required result?
Definitely, try all the diffrent ones.
The color scheme on our faq pages (old scheme) are the possible colors.
Darkblue, darkpurple, almost black.
According to the labs, what we call darkpurple/almost black, they call very darkblue.

Thanks aj, that was basically all I wanted to know. I asked because a lot of the pills that have been given high ratings have also been said to turn the EZ test straight to black but not all the good pills I've had have done that and I was wondering if it was because they might have been larger and therefore a small scraping would have less MDMA that in a smaller pill.
