Speed Bubbling?

I recently bought some speed here in aus from a source i only just met. I gave it a test with the ez tester and it bubbled and turned orange but not dark orange just light orange. Any ideas what this could be? Usually when i test speed it just turns dark orange/brown with no bubbles.

hmm i've seen that reaction with speed before. one way to know for sure is to get an E2 kit and test it again with that. the results of both tests should give a better indication.

This is probably caused by excess NaOH used in the preparation.
NaOH is Sodium Hydroxide, (Soda Lye) and is used in the production of most amphetamines.
I believe if there is too much used, the speed will be very basic (in terms of acid/base) and will bubble on contact with marquis reagent (Acid)
