Speed ball or not...?

I only smoke my heroin.

Would having a couple of bumps of coke whilst smoking H be classed as a speedball or is that only when both drugs are administered simultaneously?

I use heroin a lot to come down off stims but that's usually some time after...the soonest I've probably ever done it is 30 mins after my last line of coke.

If I've had pills or whizz it's usually a few hours after last dose (longer duration)

Also how safe would it be and what's actually to be gained from the experience opposed to each on their own.

Depends who you ask... purists like me who IV coke and heroin together in the same shot, do not consider what you just described as a speedball..ha. You can call it that if you want to..but..

Either way, you'll still get in interesting feeling between the duality of the drugs..but that's not a speedball, man. Maybe if you smoked them together..that would be much closer. But doing H and then taking some bumps of coke is just that..doing H and taking bumps of coke.
 
It really comes down to semantics.

Personally, I go more with intent. I might shoot some heroin, then snifff some coke, but only because I didn't want to shoot the coke. The intent was still getting high on both drugs at same time.

However, if I did some heroin, then a few hours later did some coke, it would just be that.

I guess it really depends on if you are feeling both drugs at the same time.

I used to shoot smack and smoke rock together.. so are you saying that isn't a speedball either since you're not getting both in the same hit?

How far apart are you doing it? If you take a shot of H and immediately hit the pipe..then I'd say that definitely counts because each one hits you so fast it's pretty close to doing them at the same time. However if you're taking a big break in between when you fix and take a hit..the magic is kind of lost. I'm going to just put my foot down and say that to me if you're not ingesting both drugs at the exact same time or within seconds apart..via only smoking or shooting, (maybe plugging if you're into that..), than that's not a true speedball..I know all the people who snort them together are going to be all over me, but hey..that's just one junkie's opinion. What the fuck do I know right? ;)
 
We have had many threads on this.

"Speedball" is just a slang word. It means whatever people want it to mean. In some places it means IV heroin and cocaine in the same shot; in others it means any upper and any downer by any ROA.

This is why we discourage drug slang in here, being an international forum..

Remember that combining uppers and downers can be dangerous. There is (usually) no inherent danger, but the problem is that stims can mask how much the downers are affecting you, so you take more; stim wears off; it turns out that too much downer was taken and the person OD's This is especially common with short lasting crack and longer lasting heroin. Several addicts I have spoken to all say shooting speedballs far more difficult to quit than you would think looking at the two separately, and it's known as a fast-track route to the gutter. Obviously this is generalising, but be careful.. I know no one was thinking of trying it, but I feel I have to say my piece ;)
