Specific color in reaction

I am wondering if anyone has really, really paid close attention to test results colorwise. I have tested more than a few rolls and have a conclusion that I would like to verify or discount.
Looking at the test result color chart the color goes from no color to a darkening shade then to black... then all the way to the right it turns a dark purple. A lot of results are posted black, but are they? I have found that rolls that only get to black are weak. I need to mention that I search for the loved up ,sensory magnifying rolls. The kind you can use up gallons of massage oil on. My fave roll in the last year was a molly. It ez tested dark purple(black if you didn't look close) on contact...it sizzled without smoke The ez test folks said it sizzled from its purity. It was some bad ass e. In the last 6-8 months my area has been flooded with wanna-be e's. All ez tests were light black/purple to a black finish...very little purple after 15 to 30 sec. they all were lacking in intensity and duration. I had some a week ago that tested instantly to a dark purple and they rocked.
Is anyone else as observant to the specific color changes. According to the color chart after 30 sec. it should be PURPLE. I have theorized for myself that the faster the result gets to the dark purple the better the roll(given what I look for). When the color goes black and never gets to purple its a toss-up...usually a let down. Let me hear your input.

very interesting post indeedy do.
sman, like you, my partner and i are on the eternal search for "MDMA": the substance that you would rather share with the person you love and get all into eachother. I found that sometimes, it may be a case of not looking too closely, and the purple might be that dark, so as to look black. We tip our plate or dish (which is white) to see what the colour change is at the end of the test
and we find that it is an extremely dark purple. But i guess there are a number of contributing factors as to why people might think that a reaction is black, when in fact it might be purple...lighting, or lack of, some people test their pills in clubs, where they can't really stand under a fluro to guage there tests. personally i don't, but some do.
i'd like to add one more point. There have been a couple of times where we have tested a pill, and the result was BLACK. we ate it, and it was the most mind blowing experience we've ever had...so i think it really depends.

Thanks for the input.
I have never been real pleased with a black reaction. But...the black reactions have always been a bit slower, ie. the whole sample does not turn all at one time. I have ended up with purple results with the same time frame and have enjoyed them much more.An instant bubbly reaction to black may be the key. My last test was on some white mercedes' and it was a 5-8 sec. result to mostly black but it did have some purple streaks when tipped. I am saving them for now hoping a really strong (bubbly instant reaction)batch comes along in the next week or so ,so that I can trade these in. I have a feeling that I'll be eat'n the mercedes. I'll post again with the turn-out.

I never tested any of my XTC before I found the websites talking about the EZTest. But hey, I believe in safety and moderation, so I got one. Of course I have yet to score since I got it but,...
I don't know about you guys, but I don't know if I can trust the dark colors on the EZ test,...
But I did a test run on some plain old Ephedrine Plus, the White Crosses you can buy at truck stops, and the shit went a pretty dark shade of purple. Not close to black, but dark all the same.
I'm sure it's great for telling if it's an "XTC-LIKE substance" (just like it is advertised and says on the color chart), instead of some bunk shit,...
If I score some X and test it, it comes up dark purple, and ends up just being fucking ephedrine, I am going to be one pissed off dude.
Anyone got advice on that? I mean really, help a brutha out!

Where do you get your Ephedrine? Cause I'd like to get some if it turns close to black. The white crosses I just tested after your post [for fun] turned the reddist shade of red it could. How long did the reaction take? After 4-5 minutes the sample I tested is starting to turn darker. All comparisions to color charts should be done within 30 seconds or whatever EZ test recommends...... at least you're testing your pills. Read all your directions and time it carefully.... roll on! sman

Yes the testing does not tell you what's in it, rather just if it contains an xtc-like substance. That means it could contain any MXXX derivative and it will test positive. That's doesn't mean you are going to have a good roll. I have had personsl experiences where the pills tested positive (black or dark purple) but the roll was shit (no to very little MDMA). Believe it or not I also tested crystal and it turned positive. Yes it's true. I posted a topic on my results several months ago. Anyway I just use the tester for identifying other substnaces (speed, LSD). Other then that the tester is useless.

I got the ephedrine from a truck stop, why? It's in a bottle that says "Ephedrine Plus", they are 250 milligrams per dose.
And they didn't turn purple/black, just a dark shade of purple.

A lovely perfectly white plastic surface.
Don't know what to tell you all, why would I lie?
I'll do it again in a well ventalted, well lit room just to make sure I am doing this right,... and I will post again later.

er the plastic is probably the problem. you must test on a clean, ceramic surface, like the back of a dinner plate or a bathroom tile.
plastic will react with the acid and give a false indication.

Well hell, Itested it on the sink and the toilet tonight and it still turned the same nice shade of purple. Don't know what to tell you, that is just the way it is. I won't bother with this thread anymore.

Well I have to post my finds on the rolls I ate that tested mostly black...not that the ephidrine plus discussion isn't puzzling to say the least. The rolls (white mercedes) wern't much fun. Felt good but had to make myself be interested in anything, no energy a little lovin but not much. We were f'd up but just wanted to sit around. And the comedown was hell. We felt like ass(in a negative sense) I am not going to eat another bean unless it tests immediately to a dark shade of purple. My results are conclusive to me. What I look for in a roll tests bubbly to a dark shade of purple not black. At first glance it may seem black but the plate tip test confirms the tint. Post your input I may have overlooked an important condition, etc. Thanks...SMAN

agree with your conclusions. purple is the magic color. the purple is so deep it looks like black but it should be purple for the desired result. black is the dreaded cough suppresent crap that will mess you up. testers should look very close for the magic purple color. be well

Thanks for everyones input. I will be testing a batch of white stars soon> I am hoping for the royal purple but I may have to settle. I am thinking the black is an mdxx substance maybe not completely synthesised (or whatever the correct term should be) I'll roll a bit but purple is the shit.

tried the stars. test at first looked like it was going to be really purple but ended up black mixed with purple after tipping the plate. It had more purple than anything I've had in a while and I had the best roll I've had in a while. I have resolved not to buy anything that does not test a wicked shade of royal purple instantly. PLUR....
