That breathing method of inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth works extremely well. I use when im in class at college and although I can feel an attack coming on the symptoms never get out of control and as long as I continue to deep breathe the attack generally diminishes. I say this because I know my anxiety is drug related and I was at a point at the end of high school where i would stop going to class because I couldnt handle it anymore. For any one trying to deal with anxiety and panic attacks practice deep breathing as often as you can ever when you are not having an attack it helps tremendously!
