Speaking through the dead, of an optional skyline
envisioned by a prophet of bliss enticement.
Scouring luminous hue's
of bright to yellow,
to red to pink,
and orange then peach,
to an western tint of all the three.
Patchwork clouds that make me proud of life,
the beauty therof, and even the strife.
The sense of all living things moving in all but every direction
The double helix, the cycle of creation.

Our founders, our fathers
supreme natural qualities.
Our fogging, forgetfulness
summer delirium ensues
a sort of ominous warmth,
to the days leading up to our lives
it begins to sort the old from new.
Leaving only a lingering scent of pride.

Talking shit about a pretty sunset
Blanketing opinions that I'll probably regret soon
Changed my mind so much I can't even trust it
My mind changed me so much I can't even trust myself...

^Wow, harsh dude...

I think you have potential, but instead of writing what you think you should write, write what you feel you should write.

lol, Modest Mouse lyrics. The title of the thread reminded me of the song. Sorry for the drunk hijack.

goggle for spelling. though i didn't try without. who knows. it would have come down to "morgan" versus "morgen." and the double f, though i like to think i would have gotten that.

OP, like "Tintern Abbey" meets the The Lion King.

Lol Yes! Thanks for the feedback. I really like this because I know where my writing and ideas are at with me, but I haven't shared it much so Idk where it is with everyone else. I feel that alot of what I write is my translation of the abstract feelings that I can't really explain. As of late I have really been doing some serious damage in verse so I just need to see what direction to run with it next. I really need to work on my meter and diction.
