Speaker Meeting

I was asked to speak at a meeting the other night for 45 freaking minutes. I was a bit scared but i faced it.

Now, below are links to how I did. I talk fast in the beginning and, in my opinion, did rather poorly. Some people were digging it, though.

Practice makes perfect.

(this entry should only be view able by Staff and my Contacts, if not... please let me know)

i can see a little box that says:
This is a private blog, you have access since you are a contact of OverDone.

so i think its all good :)

i'll have to watch later on when i have a free moment.

A little birdie showed me that it is not visible to non-staff and non-contacts.

You're not talking too fast, but rather you sound impassioned. It's so intense, so real. I dig it.

oooh interesting

=D

thats rough!

i like speaking in public, especially the thought of "speaking my mind",,, 45 minutes though! dont sweat it man, thats kind of a lot to ask of someone! and apparently you did it, and that was the goal, i would of assumed almost entirely...

fuck yeah im going to listen hehe! annnd to post that up is seriously "exposing" yourself, really tossing it out there dude. doing the same again, wil be sooo much easier, with all the drama entailed here in the back of your mind, you know? so speaking for 25 minutes?!?

nooo problem
;)

A_C, good lookin' out! :D

Dave, thanks for the vote of confidence %)

PIP, you nailed it. This was an exercise (for me, not others) in overcoming fear and honoring a commitment. I was fucking anxious and scared but I did it anyway. I wanted to carry that exercise further (as you keenly noticed) by posting it here. I'm not concerned about any random, anonymously negative YouTube comments. I understand the nature of those who comment on YouTube 8( and chose to leave the ability to make comments as an option. I figure that the random Internet post will help me learn and practice some other things.

I've spoken many times before but never for that length of time and never in front of so many people who didn't know me. That was a trip but people were VERY supportive.

Man... females... females are so damn compassionate and supportive. They were awesome in making me feel welcome and comfortable

you rule mang.
