20:07 - 248mg taken (248mg total) (M1)
20:49 - 126mg taken (374mg total) (M1)

Im on 20mg of Cipralex (Escitalopram) a day.

I keep getting these almost spasms, like my whole body wants to tighten up and I really have to fight it. B.P. & Heart rate when this started were ok though at 148/93 (117). Ive just taken 1.5ml of GBL. But is this a cause for concern?
I did have a rather big session yesterday (methylone and 4-FA) and only got 3 hours sleep.

Edit: I just spoke to my doctor friend and spoken to him and hes not too concerned. So Im a lot calmer now, and the spasms have significantly reduced.

Good, I'm glad you are feeling better.

It's impossible to diagnose these things over the internet, but it sounds like muscle spasms from muscle tension caused by the stimulants you have taken. Sleep deprivation and anxiety about it all can make this worse too (or feel worse at least!)

Your BP and heart rate are fine which is good. Mixing an SSRI with a serotinergic drug like methylone sometimesd dampens the effects of the drug, but there is also a (pretty small) risk of serotonin syndrome - howerver what you are describing doesn't sound like tha!

I don't want you to start panicking - if I thought you had serotonin syndrome I'd be telling you to go straight to hospital! I am sure you will be okay, however if you start to feel at all unwell or develop any new symptoms, ir start feeling really hot/drowsy/confused or if the tension comes back and worsens, I definitely think you should get yourself checked over by a doctor for your own peace of mind as well as to rule out anything serious. Speaking to a doctor friend is great and I am glad they put your mind at rest, but if you do get unwell then there is no substitute for being seen by a doctor in A+E face to face.

If I were you right now I would try to relax - get yourself comfy, make sure you are well hydrated, eat if possible, take some vitamins perhaps, do something to distract yourself like watch a film maybe or try to get some sleep if you can. I hope you feel better soon! <3

As effie said, it's probably mild serotonin syndrome. Try and keep yourself from overheating, don't do any strenuous exercise. While GABA drugs can help, I personally wouldn't recommend GBL because of the stimulant rebound effect. Other than that, effie seems to have covered everything else =D

Im just so annoyed at myself, I dunno when I got so reckless. Lesson learnt though. Im gonna avoid any drugs that are heavily involved with serotonin until Im off the anti-depressants. Ive ruined a perfectly good evening by getting greedy. I was gonna have 4-FA later, but obviously I can't.
Thanks for the help guys.

^ glad you are okay - at least you didn't get really unwell, think of it that way! It is definitely wise to avoid serotinergic drugs while on antidepressants; serotonin syndrome can be very dangerous, but also as the effects are sometimes dampened it can lead to you taking too much and putting strain on your body, and also come-downs are really not a good idea for someone with depression! Glad you are giving the 4-FA a miss - sorry your evening has been ruined though..
