An investigation into an Iraqi social club in California has uncovered evidence leading law enforcement officials to believe Iraqis are working with one of Mexico’s most dangerous drug cartels.

Over the last 10 years the Southern California Iraqi social club in El Cajon with ties to the Chaldean Organized Crime Syndicate has been investigated various times for being involved in drug sales, gambling, car theft, and gun smuggling.

ImageIn 2010, police began looking into the increase in drug trafficking and violent crime throughout El Cajon. Much of this crime was attributed to Iraqi organized crime elements, which was recently discovered to be involved with the Mexican mafia, as well as the Sinaloa drug cartel.

The club at 811 E. Main Street was identified as the hub of criminal activity by the Iraqi organized crime unit in El Cajon. Police say the crimes that occurred there included attempted murder, methamphetamine and marijuana sales, sale of diverted pharmaceuticals, gambling, resisting arrest, illegal liquor sales, and illegal sales of firearms.

As a result of the investigation, 60 arrests have been made, and polce seized 13 pounds of methamphetamine; over 4 pounds of MDMA (ecstasy) and pharmaceuticals including Vicodin, Oxycontin, Codeine, Xanex, and Percocet, one pound of cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine, and over 3,500 pounds of marijuana. Additional seizures include over $630,000 in US currency, 3 luxury cars, and the seizure of 34 firearms including semi-automatic assault rifles and several fully automatic firearms, and 4 IEDs, said the El Cajon Police Department.

Decent amount of weight taken of the streets

All that isn't much off the streets of Socal, Iraqi organized crime isn't really a big thing in the area, not surprised to hear dealings with La Eme, since they are at the top of most types of organized criminal activity in this state

if they were born abroad they'll get deported so fast. I was threatened with deportation when I was busted for heroin. I think I wasn't that high a priority for INS because it's a pain in the ass to have Cuba agree to take a person back. But if I had been born in Iraq, I'd have been punted back over there with alacrity.

All of those drugs that were seized in powders were likely to be cut to shit. I would guess that organized crime is more likely to cut their MDMA than say stuff that goes from a chemist to dealers to dealers and so on.

^ Yeah nothing funnier than people making bombs out of random shit in the kitchen, gets me everytime.

Damn man how did they even let those Iraqi's get awaty with it for this long... Obviously they were being watched its just dumb that this stuff was goin down on US soil. I'm sorry but I do not believe Iraqi's should be trusted man they've used up all my trust and the damn country's trust and they keep fucking up!!

Automatic rifles and shit what if they decided to go on a lil hezbollah mission on the streets of so cal.... That shit wouldn't fly. But damn pounds of meth, coke, and dope!?!?! Sounds like they had some serious cheddar for all that and the guns lol.

Yeah I wouldn't trust someone either after I bomb their country and keep my soldiers there.

the iraqis arrested were all chaldeans, which basicaly mean their christian, so i kinda doubt they have anything to do with hezbollah

i find this mixture quite interesting because La EME aka the mexican mafia doesnt stray that far into Mexico but with Sinaloa's recent takeover of Tijuana that makes sense but the iraqi part really makes things extra interesting.. i understand that money talks but believe me, Sinaloa cartel would never deal with anyone that could ever be attributed to a terrorist group. I could definitely see La Eme agents that are working in colabo with Sinaloa working with the iraqis but never a direct link between Sinaloa and the Iraqis, the Sinaloa cartel would never work with any organization that could have ties to any terrorist group that is fighting against its #1 consumer AKA the U.S.A. obviously it has worked with "terrorist" // paramilitary organizations such as FARC and other central // south american groups. the Sinaloa cartel is the most structured and professional cartel in exsistance, these arent idiots looking for the quick buck. They have been playing a long game of chess and there is a lot of verified proof that because of this the Mexican government is slowly taking down other cartels and will let Sinaloa do its thing. if anyone needs any backup proof of anything written here go ahead and shoot me a PM, i would write a much longer a structured reply but my comp just crashed on me mid reply and i had to rewrite a lot of this.

i never said they did, i said that they could ever be attributed to a terrorist organization. i'm no foxnews mediawhore.. i would never say something so flat out racist and irresponsible. i am just stating the facts that major organizations are global and they all know that the money never stays in one place. it trickles somewhere, if it could be suspected that it trickled into the hands of an anti-usa organization that has malicious intent to harm americans // #1 drug target for the entire world then no responsible DTO would ever do business with them.
