South Africa - strongest OTC painkillers ?

Travelling to SA soon, visiting Cape Town, Johannesburg, and a few other regions... Interested in what stronger painkillers are available as a tourist. Esp interested in opiates, codeine, HDC etc. Have heard stories there's been a crackdown in the last year or so, but wondered what's the strongest I can hope for OTC? How rigid the laws are from region to region, and would it make a difference if I came armed with full I-D, and even a poss script for a UK equivalent med... Any advise here appreciated. Best,
