sounds cause confusion

instead of closing my eyes
and looking to the ground
i wish i would look up
and see things as being possibilities
and not empty spaces
the wall empty becomes a canvas
instead of a dead end
and these sounds
and someone elses words make sense
instead of causing confusion
and as i notice
the music he plays
to a silent street
an empty morning
its almost as if
unknowingly he carries me along
on and on oblivious
to the contentment he brings
the satisfaction of knowing
someone out there
still has hope
something to bring them joy.
every morning i see him
and every morning
i smile...knowing he will be there
the next
playing for no one and everyone
all at once..
