Yeah so I posted this forever ago under LUV-E and as it is, i have to read a poem to my english class in a few weeks.. since it's been forever since i have written anything i thought i's swim through the archives for a while and found this...
I close my eyes and try to push you out
Your eyes
Your smile
Your memory
They burn holes inside my mind
Still, I try so hard
To deny
Everything
If you tried to hold me now
I might push you away
And when you smile at me
I can't help but force myself to look away
I love the dark
I don't have to look into your eyes
And then you can't sneak inside and read me
You're so good at it...
It's so easy
When I don't have to face
What is real
And what isn't
When I am with
Or without you
I just let everything....
Roll
And I pretend it doesn't matter
My life has been so much easier
WITHOUT YOU..
And everytime I find the strength
To keep myself from calling
Keep myself from longing to see your face
Keep myself from missing you
It seems these are the easiest times for me
If you kissed me now
I might cry
I don't really care what happens to us
I don't care if you want me anymore
Or if you ever did
Or if you happen to think you are happy with her Instead of me.. because I know you're not.
I just want to hear you say it-
Just once
And really mean it
I want to hear you say
"Ilove you"
Because we both know it's true
We have this crazy, unbelievable bond
This connection that you CANNOT deny
Yet, you still make your attempt
Yeah, "roll buddies"..
I love that label
That you have so willingly thrown around
Only,
I am the one that declared us as such
Because it takes away all the feeling
All the emotion
All the truth
It's so much easier to say that
And hide behind it...
Because it's safe,
It's so much safer than love..
And you're scared to death,
But so am I
