i posted this comment in the other bloody stool thread but i ended up basically just asking my own question and not replying to the op, my bad. heres what i said and asked. if you read his also, compare his and mine. theyre 100% different situations with similar outcomes, but i honestly think mine could be life threatening (i havent seen a dr but im thinking what if this is renal failure or colon cancer).

i have something similar but its not from plugging. there isnt much blood in the stool itself but when i wipe and look at the toilet paper its covered with so much blood that it drips. this has been going on for over a year, and theres time i can go 1=2 weeks without taking a shit.. the longest was just over a month, last month. i am going to go see a doctor tho beause i know its not hemmoroids and if it was just a torn fissure it should have healed by now, as i said its been over a year. oh and every time i go it hurts alot, like im pushing out something with sharp points on it.. best way to describe it. sory im not trying to thread jack you but if anyone reads this and has any ideas or info i could use the help


one more thing, i forgot to say this and i may turn out to be the most important. this bleeing all started on this one day where i was forcing out a godzilla sized feces. think of your butthole as a nickel, this thing was close to double the diameter of a cucumber. but if thats what could have caused it, what worries me is why is it still bleeding well over a year later if all i did was tear the anus, or have a uh... anal fissure? ive hear about those, dont know what they are. its not hemmoroids i dont think cause cant u feel them? isnt there usually a lump in ir around your butthole? my ex had a bad one and it was right by her butthole, it was a lump about the size of a lima bean, i think lima beans are kinda big.. a little bigger in diameter than a dime, it just looked like a lump of skin.

I think it could be hemmeroids/anal fissures that aren't healing because you're not taking care of your bottom.

Using a sterilized or clean finger, press against your rectum (asshole), is it painful? Can you feel any soft "lumps"? If you have a glove insert the finger into your rectum, MAKE SURE ITS REALLY LUBED UP, LIKE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN PUT ON! because hemmeroids aren't only external. They can be deeper up the bum, known as internal ones. If you don't have a glove it's OK, but you have to be very careful and gentle while you're doing it. Keep putting the finger up, and if it's too painful remove it as you could be irritating it further.

Is the blood a bright colour?

yes, qctually. they are always hard and sometimes difficult to push out. sometimes ill have a good day and it will be soft, but rarely. no pain to the touch or lumps, ill check the inside tomorrow ill ned to get some vaseline or something before i go digging up there. as far as the blood color its not dark or bright, just 'normal'. for example if you had a bloody nose and used some soft tissue paper to plug it up, it looks exactly like that. very drippy

at the time i was on my suboxone dose (not abusing or getting high). I took 2 8mg film strips per day, and im on 2mg xanax bars prescribed. i did slip up i think 3 times and do opiates, id have to stop taking suboxone for 4 days or so but i doubt stopping suboxone and doing some opiates for a day or two then getting back on suboxone would do this. i did notice the suboxone made me veeerrrry constipated and honestly i have a history oh taking big shits, ones you have to strain and push, but the last one i remember i took before this started was gigantic. im talking a good 9-10in long and atleast 4-5in in diameter, or i dont know that sounds to big... more like the size of 1 1/2 half-dollar coins. it was very big. my step dad said the same thing about how i could have torn something pushing to hard, it could have been an anal fissure etc etc, so i thought nothing of it for s long time but here i am over a year later and it hasnt healed thats what makes me thing is something bad. and also like i said since this has happened its normal for me to go 1 week, 2 weeks, one time even 5 1/2 weeks.. about a month and a week or so. so i have shit backed up in me from food i ate like 2-3 months ago i bet.

p.s. - i dont drink alcohol, at all. and i will update this thread after im able to check the inside of the anus and ill let you guys know. im scared to death guys... im one of those people who believe in signs, and for like a month now i keep seeing that goddamn colon cancer commercial that has that one actress as a spokeswoman. i had a similar event with cigarettes... when i thought maybe its time to quit because my jowls (i think thats what im feeling... under the chin and on the neck where the 2 meet if you feel those spots anyone should feel like 2 little lump things... dont know what they are but for like 2 weeks, the one on my right side was irritated and in slight pain, also my throat. i only felt this irritation/pain when swallowing and like the cancer commercials, id run into like 4 tobacco commercials a day like the bald guy who ended up dying, the pretty girl with the scarf who had throat cancer or something and now has a hole in her throat. thats what im most worried about if thats weird to say. id rather have lung cancer than mouth/throat cancer. nobody can see your lung cancer but with throat cancer...you get that hole in your neck and in extreme cases your lower jaw removed. ok sorry for the long post.

If you currently are not using opiates and are still having bloody stool you should probably go see a doctor. I had the same problem. Massive amounts of blood in my stool. When I would whip the blood would soak through all sheets of toilet paper. Sometimes even lil blood clotty things. I ended up getting locked up in jail and obviously had to quite. Within 1 week I was taking normal soft shits. NO blood. I dunno about Suboxone though and if it acts the same as opiate with your digestion system. IF does then that is your prob right there. Your stool is not suppose to be hard. Go to doctor if you still have blood after quoting opiate

That is EXACTLY how this is. You nailed it 100%. I was on suboxone for i think atleast 2 years and I was having this blood shit going on... I know subox is considered an opiate, but do you think it could make me bleed as if i were taking alot of oxy or another pain killer? I stopped taking suboxone 3 weeks ago, but i freaked out about the withdrawl i psyched myself out, and got myself thinking theres no way I can do this. Then, of course, my mind goes straight to thinking about pain killers. I got some oxy at 9:30am the very next morning.

Do you have any links with documentation that talks about a link between opiates and bloody stool??? It would really help me to stop being so paranoid, every day i end up thinking about it and think im probably dying and id like to be able to know if this is common among opiate users, it should subside my cancer fear i hope. Thank you
