Soreness after Injection

^Very true,especially since the swelling did'nt occur until 4 days after the initial injection.Sounds like staph and thats nothing to play with.
 
Since when did people follow "go to the doctor now" advice?

What is wrong with IVing hydrocodone, if you do a proper cold water extraction? Obviously, APAP isn't that bad to IV, though you definately want to minimize it.

Well he'd be advised to go p.d.q. or there's a chance of him becoming an ex-Bluelighter in the most serious way possible

That was about the delay between cat scratch & big red angry lump. Any problems due to particulate matter would have occurred within 24 hours. For it to happen after 4 days can really only be due to bacterial infection - no simple physiological response would take that long to manifest.

IF YOU DON'T SEE A DOCTOR YOU COULD DIE it's that simple. You know what to do, it's your choice...

No, but of the ways of becoming an ex-BLer, things like being banned (either by admin staff or self banning) pales into significance compared with becoming an ex-BLer because you're no longer with us (as in the living) to post

I had to put up with emergency surgery (to remove infected tissue from septic abcess) & a week of IV clindamycin drips (4x a day for 5 days) as well as oral ciprofloxacin, erythromycin and metronidazole. It's not something to piss about with
 
No it's not.I also meant if it's caught early enough before the tissue dies and has to be removed,Rocephin is proven to be one of the best on infection Followed by a good course of Duricef orally for several days.Hopefully they can stop the infection befor ehtey have to remove the septic tissue.
 
Well, I followed ya'll's advice and I told my parents[theyre obviously pretty upset with me] and they took me to the ER. At the hospital they put me on an IV drip of some kind of antibiotic. They also gave me a script for some anti-b's. So everything should be fine now.

Oh god, I just wish I hadn't fucked with the needle in the first place. 8(
 
good to see you got some treatment...
wow really great job guys exspecially fastandbulbous . if not for this site he might have let it go and had terrible results. there should be a phone# for drug questions for people that dont have the net.
 
Well, that is our raison d'etre - harm reduction - which is pretty much what happened here.

I think anybody who contributed to this thread in getting n_Ovis to go to the hospital ER should pat themselves on the back. Goes to show that a bunch of druggies can pull together in a co-ordinated & responsible way to help others (contrary to what anti-drug propaganda would like to have you believe!)

PS - keep us up to date as to how it progresses after treatment. This has the makings of a very valuable thread in getting people who might waver over going to hospital to go and get treatment
 
This is the first time, to my knowledge, in Bluelight history, where an "I overdosed" thread resulted in the kid going to hospital, or even replying after 2 hours. This should be stuck in "The Best of Bluelight" section or something.

Way to go n Ovis. What did the doctors say about your decision? Your parents?

No, it means they've either autobanned themselves or been banned by an Admin.

First of all, why would you talk someone out of going to the ER if they did something like this? Secondly, even if he did CWE, some APAP will remain in the solution, combined with the fact that hydrocodone produces a histamine response similar to codeine.

Some news. My lump isnt going down at all, but it isn't getting bigger either. I feel fine though, none of the symptoms of blood poisoning or other things I was warned against at the ER. I'm on anti-b's right now which are probably helping a lot.

Oh and creative responce, the doctors just said I was crazy and my parents said I'm a dumbass and that I have a drug problem. But thankfully I'm not getting shipped back off to rehab/the mental institution again[that place was a complete shithole]

But anyways I'm seeing my physician on Wednesday so I'll ask him about my lump and see if he wants to operate on it.

But thanks for the concern you all, I'm glad we have this glorious thing called bluelight.
