Opioids Sore throat cant "hock up spit"

Can anyopne tell my why i would have a lump in throat after 40 mg,s of oxy 3mg xanax 1 doxylamine tablet and 2 telfast (antihistamines) its really sore and cant bring up spit without it being really sore and the urge to spew wich even that feels like i couldnt do .

I can swallow but it burts
 
What roa did you use? Did you smoke or snort the OC by any chance? In my experience either snorting or smoking can irritate your throat.


But as CH alluded, it could pretty much be anything.
 
crushed the tabs up and swallowed with water they were 10mg tabs extended release , i had this happen the last time but nowhere near as bad and always wait quite awhile between experiences.

because it was so long ago i cant even remember how long it took to go away or if mixed it with the same one i did last night

or even because i crashed out on 2 pillows it bent my neck and half closed my throat

but your right the possibillitie are endless i was just hoping maybe someone ha experienced the same problem

maybe it just isnt for me i cant be bothered dealing with this again.
 
Sounds like a case of good ole fashioned dehydration if you feel mucus and cant cough it up/ Especially with them drugs you on boy.

Can you not spit because of tongue swelling or dry mouth? One is a serious side effect the other aint bad.
 
this is a wierd effect, opiates are often used as expectorants meaning they should help you achieve productive coughing. you might have had a cold or other unrelated condition and your attributing it to the cold. a lot of people do drugs on a daily basis and then when they get sick (which they would have anyways) they blame it on the drug.
 
Lol why was this thread brought back from 2010 especially something of such unimportance lol ch made me laugh ancient thread is ancient that's what made me realize it was so old haha
 
Interesting thread, old or not, since i got this exact type type of weird effect multiple times consistently, but more so like my whole mouth and throat and a bit further down was painful, felt very strange and didnt function the way it should, like it was receiving corrupted signals from the brain.

It felt like it was difficult to get food down like it wasn't working or something was stuck in there. Same effect with other actions like clearing the throat.

I couldnt find more info on this anywhere, even with posts here in OD and a trip report on exactly this. I was snorting only but somehow i can tell it wasnt the substance itself causing the effect through direct contact. It only occurred 1-2 days into a binge as well.

Its like you are sick but its nothing like any type of illness has caused before. Its a sore thoat without being a sore throat that feels anything like a sore throat you have ever had before. Only way to explain it.
