I was given a blood transfusion about a month ago now, and the vein that they used now has a hard lump there. It seems to have collapsed the vein. The lump isn't inflamed and it's not an emergency situation, but it hurts like hell when I extend my arm or press on it.

I have no experience with this. Could someone let me know what this could be and how to deal with it? Is this scar tissue or something else?

Hmmm it's been over a month and not much progress. I tried applying heat and massage last night and it brought down the inflammation but the lump is still there. Looks like the vein on either side of it is collapsed as well. Is the vein done for?
