Watching you plummet to mortality
Was like soaring down, hand in hand with you
As I fled from truths of reality,
That were really our nightmares construed
In physical terms on your scar stained flesh.
Memories in narcotic suspension
Hang between understanding and regret
Before giving rise to comprehension
You have eclipsed the limits of your pain
While images of you reside in dreams
I catch glimpses of you in other planes
Waiting behind kaleidoscopic scenes
For the dawning of slow epiphany:
We exist together infinitely.
