Song lyrics quiz - NO GOOGLING PLEEASE

I'm free to be whatever I
Whatever I choose
And I'll sing the blues if I want

I'm free to say whatever I
Whatever I like
If it's wrong or right it's alright

Always seems to me
You only see what people want you to see
How long's it gonna be
Before we get on the bus
And cause no fuss
Get a grip on yourself
It don't cost much

Also spotted Seahorses abreast above. Not a bad album but never really grabbed me massively. Bought it when it came out but was kinda disappointed to be honest.

Slightly edited to remove the lyrics with the title in...

Spy, spy, pretty girl
I see you see me through your window
Don't turn your nose up
Well, you can if you need to, you won't be the first or last

It must strain you to look down so far from your father's house
And I know what a louse like me in his house could do for you
I'm the Cream
Of the Great Utopia Dream
And you're the gleam
In the depths
of your banker's spleen

I'm a phallus in pigtails
And there's blood on my nose
And my tissue is rotting
Where the rats chew my bones
And my eye sockets empty
See nothing but pain
I keep having this brainstorm
About twelve times a day

I got eyes in my backside
That see electric tomatoes
On credit card rye bread
There are children in washrooms
Holding hands with a queen
And my heads full of murders
Where only killers scream

Now you run from your window
To the porcelain bowl
And you're sick from your ears
To the red parquet floor
And the Braque on the wall
Slides down your front
And eats through your belly
It's very catching

One of me fave xxxxxxxx songs and some of me fave lyrics of any song <3

Oh, and I do believe I spotted some Ninja Flow up there, Albi =D<3

When you're talkin' to yourself
And nobody's home
You can fool yourself
You came in this world alone
(Alone)

So nobody ever told you baby
How it was gonna be
So what'll happen to you baby
Guess we'll have to wait and see
One, two

Old at heart but I'm only twenty eight
And I'm much too young
To let love break my heart
Young at heart but it's getting much too late
To find ourselves so far apart

I don't know how you're s'posed to find me lately
An what more could you ask from me
How could you say that I never needed you
When you took everything
Said you took everything from me

Young at heart an it gets so hard to wait
When no one I know can seem to help me now
Old at heart but I musn't hesitate
If I'm to find my own way out

Still talkin' to myself
And nobody's home
(Alone)

So nobody ever told us baby
How it was gonna be
So what'll happen to us baby
Guess we'll have to wait and see

When I find out all the reasons
Maybe I'll find another way
Find another day
With all the changing seasons of my life
Maybe I'll get it right next time
An now that you've been broken down
Got your head out of the clouds
You're back down on the ground

And you don't talk so loud
An you don't walk so proud
Any more, and what for

Well I jumped into the river
Too many times to make it home
I'm out here on my own, an drifting all alone
If it doesn't show give it time
To read between the lines

'Cause I see the storm getting closer
And the waves they get so high
Seems everything we've ever known's here
Why must it drift away and die

I'll never find anyone to replace you
Guess I'll have to make it through, this time - oh this time
Without you
I knew the storm was getting closer
And all my friends said I was high
But everything we've ever known's here
I never wanted it to die

See you've caught me in a coma
And I don't think I want to
Ever come back to this
World again
Kinda like it in a coma
'Cause no one's ever gonna
Oh make me come back to this
World again

Now I feel as if I'm floating away
I can't feel the pressure
And I like it this way
But my body's calling, my body's calling
Want me to come back to this
World again

Suspended deep in a sea of black
I got the light at the end
I got the bones on the mast
Well, I've gone sailing, I've gone sailing
I could leave so easily
My friends are calling back to me
I said yeah,
They're leaving it all up to me when
All I needed was clarity
And someone to tell me what the **** is going on
Goddammit

Slippin' farther and farther away
It's a miracle how long we can stay
In a world our minds created
In a world that's full of ****

Please understand me
I'm climbin' through the wreckage
Of all my twisted dreams
And this cheap investigation
Just can't stifle all my screams
And I'm waiting
At the crossroads
Waiting for you
Waiting for you
Where are you

No one's gonna bother me anymore
No one's gonna mess with my head no more
I can't understand what all the fightin's for
But it's so nice here down off the shore
I wish you could see this
Cause there's nothing to see
It's peaceful here and its fine with me
Not like the world where I used to live
I never really wanted to live...

Zap him again...
Zap the son of a ***** again

Live your life like it's a coma
Won't you tell me why we'd want to
With all the reasons you give
It's kinda hard to believe

But who am I to tell you that I've seen any reason
Why you should stay
Maybe we'd be better off without you anyway
I got a one way ticket on your last chance ride
Got a one way ticket to your suicide
Got a one way ticket and there's no way out alive

And all this crass communication that has left you in the cold
Isn't much for consolation when you feel so weak and old
But if home is where the heart is
Then there's stories to be told
No, you don't need a doctor
No one else can heal your soul

Got your mind in submission
Got your life on the line
But nobody pulled the trigger
They just stepped aside
They'll be down by the water
While you watch 'em wavin' goodbye

They'll be callin' in the morning
They'll be hanging on the phone
They'll be waitin' for an answer
But you know nobody's home
And when the bells stop ringing
It was nobody's fault but your own

There were always ample warning
There were always subtle signs
And you would have seen them coming
But we gave you too much time
And when you said that no one's listening
Why'd your best friend drop a dime
Sometimes we get so tired of waiting for a
Way to spend our time

And it's so easy to be social
It's so easy to be cool
Yeah, its easy to get hungry
When you ain't got **** to lose
And I wish that I could help you
With what you hope to find
But I'm still out here waiting
Watching reruns of my life
When you reach the point of breaking
Know it's gonna take some time
To heal those broken memories
That another man would need

goodbye

Albion -- you took three hours to get that? ;) OK, try this one, then.

No politicians, just compassion
Celebrity is out of fashion
Innocence don't take a thrashing
On the playground floor
Constable paints awesome skies
Instead of macing suspects' eyes
Bankers' pay is justified
And all nations come in peace

*chorus omitted for obvious reason*

Sun rises on the village green
Not digitised on a flat screen
Lovers' kisses can be seen
Darkness holds no fear
Everyone drinks socially
Not because they're crippled emotionally
And all our sleep is trouble free
Wrapped up in caring arms

*chorus omitted for obvious reason*

Our hopes are old, all dressed in rags
The faded colours of many flags
And the broken metal of our tags
Keeps this dream alive
Well, mistrust could never last
The future lives and not the past
We are only shadows cast
Just trying to hold on

*chorus omitted for obvious reason*

When I first saw the video to this track, I thought they'd sent their dads along .....

You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks.

You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly.

Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain.

You fasten all the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion'
As young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud.

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins.

How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
That even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do.

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul.

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand over your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead.

even if obvious - what a great bit of penmanship. No one writes to that level today.

Hey, where you going?
Don't go yet,
Your glass ain't empty,
And we just met.
<3

^^ nice one

She said the spring is in the air
And summer will blossom everywhere
But we're as dead, as dead as autumn's leaves
Oh let me warm you in the breeze

skip a bit
Oh the sun, the sun keeps shining through
Behind everyone
And over me and you
And every time I try
You walk, walk away
And now I know the end
The end's here to stay
I'd like to lose myself
Inside of you
But God I know the things
We'd do

skip a bit

Oh the sun, the sun keeps shining through
Behind everyone
And over me and you
To fall down the stairs
And cry at my door
How much does it hurt?
Can you sing the blues now?
I know I'd like to
You wear it like a shirt
shirt

Didn't the Bee Gees write it?

The FNM version is very good. Robbie? Tut-tut.

Bee Gees does ring a bell quite loudly. I tend to block most Bee Gee-related facts from my mind though.

And, ya, I know. But tell me this ain't a top tune. And if you do I'll call you a liar :p

"Now my dad's on the game
He likes to eat and score
And when he's had a lie down
He's back to doing more"
