All these US rappers jumped on the bandwagon 10 years too late really.

Even ponce rockers REM (who are obviously American) got on the E train years ago with "shiny happy people".

Is hiphop outdated? Why are rappers wearing baggy trousers like people did in the late 80's? What's all this bling that Jimmy Saville and scousers were into in the 80's? Is modern rap an 80's revival? LOL

i can go on for days about songs that mention ecstacy, but here go a few that i know really well. some have been named already.

eminem - the kids

i was very sceptic about mentioning some bay area songs. didnt really think anyone would really know what the fuck i was talkin bout. obviously i was wrong.

yea i seen the mac dre dvd. yea that was a funny ass movie but i can relate to it like a muthafucka.

i breathe and live for bay area music. a lot of people dont even know how much the bay area does for the music industry. man i can go on and name a lot of bay area artist that is hard but i'll name a few.

e-40.. yukmouth.. keak da sneak.. dru down.. federation.. san quinn.. cougnut.. andre nickatina.. mac dre.. mac mall.. lynch.. c-bo.. richie rich.. cellski..

Haha yep! Thats tight dude, those are the fools i grew up on my whole life basically. The bay is my home, but im down in san diego right now and i dont get as much bay area fixings as i do up there. Plus all our old favorite artists are putting stuff out either 1) slower, because theyre all getting old as fuck, or 2) less quality. Although COPIUM was way sick... I still don't know how I feel about Breakin' News though. I guess I like it ,but im still used to classic 40 mobb rap, like everything from In A Major Way or EoS disc 1.... thats the stuff I live by when it comes to rap.
Quinn's new one is hopefully good, Nickatina pretty much done i think, maybe one more cd and some features... damn yeah, i could go on and on about bay area music scene, its the best to me.

i know bout that screw music. got a couple of swisha house compalations also. eightball, mjg, lil flip, scarface, and its a few others that come out that area that bring fire to the table. its always been a south-west thing we always hand a bond in music. if you dont think so go out and find the "south-west riders compalation"

back to the bay area though e-40's "in a major way" is my favorite e-40 album of all time. just that album alone put me really up on e-40. i stole it from my older cousin at the time and never let go of it.

keak's album copium is in my cd player now and it will remain.

san quinn is pissin me off this man aint droppin back to back albums any more. reasons i dont know but quinn holds it down like non other for san francisco. if cougnut didnt get killed in that car accident it would be trouble for the world. cougnut was one of the best rappers to come out of the SF city.

and even though its kinda late but how did i forget to mention tha man who put everyone really on the bay area "too short" i can listen to all his old albums basically up to album 10 and no more after that. when he dropped his 11th album it was on that aTL shit which isnt bad but it wasnt that bay area too short i was used to.

to every one peeping this thread go out and look for these bay area artist and those screwed up artist. its a sound a whole lot different then that mainstream MTV, 106 PARK, RAP CITY, TRL, RADIO crap you catch coming your way.
