Sonata (sleep-aid) high?

Does anyone have experience using Sonata to get some pleasurable effects? I've tried Ambien but it didn't work much for me (up to 40mg within 2hrs) and just got a scrip for this. Assuming they don't work much for sleeping, i'd like to try and get some euphoria use out of them.

Any advice would be great thanks!

Anyone? Or know of a good place to ask?

Well I snorted 30mg within an hour. Not a bad feeling I suppose.

Ambien is really the only hypnotic I have heard of people using for its non sleeping effects. I'd say if Ambien wasn't trippy, then taking Lunesta or sonata is not going to do anything for you either.

As stated before, z-drugs are not euphoric. They are simply hypnotics.
Taking a large dose of hypnotic and specifically trying not to go to sleep seems silly to me, but some people are just affected differently by Ambien. I haven't heard of people using other z-drugs for similar effects.

You may be better off looking for benzos

I did not know much about Sonata and just read up on a bit. Hallucinations are listed as a side effect however I stand by my statement that I haven't heard of anyone using anything but ambien for the trippy effects.

my experience is that these z-drugs just react with each person differently. A personal friend of mine can't take ambien because of the trippyness, however lunesta knocks her out cold to sleep. For myself, Ambien did not work as a sedative nor did it cause any trippy effects.

Thanks for the replies. I've done some experimenting both with the Sonata and Ambien. Neither have much effect on me, maybe a slight mood-lift. (Which is a god send right now)

I'm going to try and get a scrip for benzo's, will be hard though. It takes a 2mg klonopin to mellow me out for half a day, and they usually start scrips off at .25 or .5 of a mg :(

I usually wouldn't waste my time snorting Ambien or Sonata, but im in a bad place right now mentally and have been looking toward any available mental relaxation. Benzo's would be perfect but are very hard for me to get atm.
 
I'm no shrink, but have you considered anti-depressants that 'double' up as hypnotics?
Trazadone is one to look into. For my chronic insomia they tried ambien and xanax but also zoloft and trazadone.

50-100mg trazadone might help with mood and also help with sleep.
 
No euphoria.

You end up sleepwalking, essentially. Do all sorts of weird shit and not remember.

Not something to do outside a safe place.
 
I think thats maybe up to the doc that wrote the Rx. Does it say on the label anything about refills? Sometimes they say 2 refills meaning you can get it filled a total of (I think) 3 times before having to get a new Rx.

An Rx for 7 pills sounds like they want you to try it for a week and them come tell them about it so they can give you a bigger Rx or talk about other options if it is not working for ya.
 
I called in for a refill, hopefully getting some more today. Would taking 40-50 or even 60mg be too much? I've taken I think upto 30-40 of Sonata with minimal effects. Same with Ambien.
 
I must be one of the lucky few then. I love sonata! I get immense amounts of euphoria from it and some mild visuals. I like it more than any benzo I've had. I wouldn't never go driving on it of course. I stay home and chill and feel wonderfull
 
You probably are missing what you are supposed to feel like on sonata. It only last for about a good hour in effects...

And don't rail them that is very retarded. It takes about the same exact time to kick in orally as when you snort them. (15-20 minutes)
 
yes, me!!! it makes me euphoric and high/trippy.. Doesn't really help put to me sleep..

this happens to me too! i love it!!
