Somewhere new

Long story short, i don't much enjoy where i am in my life, and i'd love to get the chance to move abroad. I've done some traveling and seen a few places but i'd really like to get a job somewhere totally new. My question is does anyone have any suggestions to countries in which a White British man could get a job and earn half decently, I'm not too fussy about the location, just want a new place to call home, i love the hot and the cold, whatever weather. I'm fairly smart, plus fairly hands on if needs must. If anyone has any suggestions please post away

From your post, I can't really tell if you like big cities, small towns. Or if you want a house, apartment, condo, etc. Or what type of work you do - office work? Factory work? Sales? Management? What type of country do you want to move to? Have you done research about moving to different countries - immigration or whatever you need to do?

Canada is also a dream haha, i'd love to move there, again it's pretty hard to move there. I've lived in london, as well as living in the country side, i'd love either, and as for work i'd say office work or sales best fits what i've been into, however I really am not that fussy. I'm really flexible i just want somewhere new to call home, England is amazing, but i'm bored i want to be somewhere new.

You could swim over here! Lol but seriously, they'll want you regardless of your origin if you're a good worker.
Since you say you're not fussy, apply EVERYWHERE.

How would I go about being there long term? I have no family living there and I've heard it's hard to become an American citizen?

fwiw, i'm a uk citizen who recently became a u.s. citizen. my route was L1 -> green card -> citizen

Lol but seriously, they'll want you regardless of your origin if you're a good worker.

this seems like a rather simplistic analysis. i doubt a u.s. company will go to the time and expense of sponsoring a visa application for a uk citizen simply because they're a "good worker". what makes you think otherwise? on what specific basis do you think he'd be sponsored?

also, wilso, don't forget that there's a constant in any location to which you move and that is you. i'm not suggesting that a change of scenery is useless - it can be a catalyst for change. however, in my experience, when people run away from problems, they just end up in a different place with the same problems.

Reading your posts has me wonder how beneficial it would be if there were 'start up communities' in the US where immigrants of the same nationality could localize, and contribute the favorite of their customs to the neighboring pre-existing communities. It seems those away from home for the first time could feel more at home in that familiar atmosphere, which they also would help to create; kind of like a China-Town, or using you as an example Essex-Town. With national and international government sharing interest it would be much a much more organized affair, though.
