Something to worry about?

Two days ago I started getting a pain the the center of my chest. This occured about 12 hours after taking 7 generic vicoprofens ( 7.5mg hydrocodone 200mg ibuprofen) with 5 25mg hydroxyzine. It flairs sporadically. It almost feels like indigestion but is far more painful. It also happens about three seconds after each bite of food. I have been eating fairly healthy over the last two or three months and actually pigged out on the same day this started, ironically. Sounds like heartburn, but I do not have it that often and it is far worse than anything I have felt before. Is it possible the ibuprofen hurt me? Acid reflux maybe? Do I need to worry?

Ibuprofen is known to cause gastrointestinal irritation, I think?

You should absolutely speak to a doc about it, especially if it worsens in any way (lasts longer, becomes more frequent, etc); if nothing else, at least having input from someone qualified to advise should hopefully alleviate some of the worry.

Can you get free medical advice where you are?

Possibly. I will give it one more night and see if the symptom subsides. Haven't been able to eat all day. Ulcer fits as well, but I have no idea. I know ibuprofen's mechanism, and I know it can cause problems. I have just never had any. Disconcerning.

yeah ibuprofen can cause nasty GI disturbances, id seriously slow down or switch vicoden.
tylenol is no field day either, but if youre sensitive for any reason to the ibuprofen figure it out now, and save yourself the trouble later.
