Some morphine CR questions

1) How much hydrocodone would a 30 mg morphine CR be equivalent to? I wasn't able to find this conversion searching.

2) Also, when taking a morphine CR, how much is released at a time. Is it linear, like 5 mg/hr over a six-hr interval, or does most get released first?

Thanks in advance for the help...

I came up with 30mg of morphine orally (I did it as instant release, couldn't find a CR) and came up with 30mg of morphine orally is equal to 45mg of hydrocone, but that doesn't sound right. I'd imagine that it'd be lower than 30mg.

sorry, I have no idea about the 2nd part of it. as I shoot all my morphine I get scripted to me, both IR and CR.

I beileve up to 30-40% of a CR pill is realeased right away. Then smaller equivalent doses are

realeased for the duration of the 8 or 12 hours. Whatever the total realease time in the pill is

to keep blood plasma levels as steady as possible at an effective dose
