O.K. this is really strange. I dosed 3 grams of uei kratom from one vendor and experienced all the good of kratom. Euphoria, energy, nodding, etc. Now this other vendor's uei kratom @ 3 grams consistently gives me so much energy that I always end up with a panic attack. I have compared these two brands of uei and it is always the same. What is going on here? Is the one uei just crap or is it super-potent or something? I made sure that this is not just all in my head. I have compared the two brands on an empty stomach on different days and the one vendor always causes me to feel this way.

Can anyone enlighten me or share a similar story?

The UEI I get is always the nodding kind. I've only ever used from one vendor.

From what I understand, if your opiate/kratom tolerance is low, or if you are taking a very potent dose, you'll get jittery and energetic. If your opiate/kratom tolerance is high or if you're taking a less potent dose you'll get that sedating euphoric nod.

Try using less of the stuff that is making you jittery. Sounds like you may be taking too much of it.

Thanks. It's strange. The one vendor says their kratom contains 60 mg kratom alkaloids/gram and the other FAR more energetic (potent!?) kratom vendor claims their kratom contains only 50 mg of kratom alkaloids/gram. I think that you are probably right.

^(WhippedDream) It is generally the opposite of that, stimulation at lower doses and sedation at higher ones. There was one study that claimed the opposite but that has been shown to be wrong.

Different alkaloid content of the leaves is responsible for a wide variety of effects. UEI stands for Ultra Enhanced Indo, which is an Indo strain enhanced with extract from some kind of kratom. There is variation in effects even within a single batch of kratom, and that difference is even larger when you start using different strains of leaf and extracts from various strains of leaf. Think of it like different strains of marijuana giving different effects. Thousands of marijuana plants ground up from a certain region (like the kratom leaves are harvested) would give a similar effect, but that effect would vary both within the batch and compared with other regions' strains.

AHA...well I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right...looks like I'm unlucky today. Thanks for setting me straight.

Purchasing Kratom is like pulling the handle on a slot machine - you never know what you're gonna get.

I think the vendor's claim of how many alkaloids are present in their batches may vary significantly from week to week. Since they're not regulated, there's no responsibility on their part to standardize or guarantee just how many alkaloids end up in each batch. You may get 50mg in one batch, and 35mg in another. Who's to know?

^Yeah, I would definitely not rely on the vendor claims of content in mg.

everbody says different kratom gives such different effects, i haven't used it a whole lot but i have used it a few times and every time it felt pretty much the same.
