Getting withdrawal symptoms but have an massively important day tomorrow and I need to be on my A game, best advice to manage things please?

Been using Soma for 12-18 months 1g every 3-4 days, sometimes 2 days, occasional doses of 1.5g. Trying to cut my usage down but getting rebound anxiety and more recently headaches which are both classic Meprobamate withdrawal symptoms.

Thankfully neither are too bad, a few nootropics helps with the anxiety and paracetomol/tylenol seems to be working on my headache.

I'm going to take a break from Soma but I have a really bloody important life changing day tomorrow that I can't fuck up.

2 days since I last used Soma, 4 days since Diazepam (20-30mg per week), 6 days since pregabalin (450mg per week). Mixture of other drugs but nothing frequent enough to be the issue here I think. Started drinking again but modest drinks 2 days ago and not planning on drinking again today (hopefully longer).

Have decided that this is a sign and I need to moderate my drug intake starting with a break from Soma, but how best to handle things? Did a 1 month break cold turkey before Christmas without issue.

Options?
1. Do I just go cold turkey and ride it out tomorrow - I feel a bit fuzzy headed today, doubt I'll be 100% at my best tomorrow, but might get away with it
2. Do I take 500mg of Soma today to help and then cold turkey
3. Do I need a taper - if so I'm thinking given symptoms are mild it could be a very aggressive taper

planning on taking L‑theanine + Caffeine + Citicoline + L‑tyrosine to help with focus

my gut feel is to just go cold turkey and ride it out.

any advice please?

headache solved with paracetamol, anxiety was doing ok with nootropics - I've a GAD diagnosis but don't take anything for it.

as the day has gone on though I've started to suffer with depression pretty badly, no doubt a combo of withdrawal and heaps of stress in my life right now.

have taken some underdosed martin dow diazepam, would have just toughed it out but need to get through the next 24 hours and then will deal with everything after that.

I don't know this drug very well but I took meprobamate though.

I think taper is always best and maybe switch to diazepam for GAD and let that drug on the side.

To me diazepam is the one that gonna make you the less drugged (between soma and pregabs) if taken in light doses for anxiety like 5 mg

If you already got depression and anxiety all those drugs are only gonna make you more unstable unless you take them as advised by a professional.

Familiar with all of these but not in combo…soma youre fine; 5mg diaz, if it helps keep it, leave it otherwise. Definitely no alcohol. Pregab you’re likely on for a chronic issue not sure why that stopped but here we are…

thanks both, I'll get through the next day or so and go back on plan.

shit happens, just got to deal with it today

In the U.K. psych patients are being issued promethazine in place of benzos due to the low LD50 and official "non-habit forming" status.
25mg for severe anxiety and 25-50mg for sleep.
Obviously, like any substance, frequent use will lead to the development of dependency.

it's the morning after, feeling much better today, got a very mild headache but no anxiety or depression.

Diazepam will have mostly worn off me by now, maybe a little lingering effects.

just got to make it through the next 3 hours or so and I'm golden.

will see how I go but planning on not taking any more Soma for at least a month - GABA repair benefits are within 2-5 weeks for Meprobamate
