I am prescribed Soma for sleep/muscle relaxer and I've noticed that the v 2140 Soma's (Carisoprodol) brand don't seem to be as strong as the original/normal "DAN"s.... Has anyone else noticed this? I mean maybe its just a placebo effect b/c my friend recently told me that the "V 2140s" sucked compared to the "DANs", and now I am starting to believe him.. btw I've never had the "V 2140" brands until recently, but I know the DAN's were always a nice little buzz/wobbly feeling.... Anyone else notice differences in the different SOMA brands that are out their or are they all pretty much the same for you guys out there that have tried both brands??

PS - If this some how violates a BL rule I am truly sorry, I've read the guidelines and rules to BL and didn't see anything about asking questions like this...

Never had the other but dans worked good for me at first but now it takes 5 to feel anything. Take em a few times a montg

The Dan's are well known as being the best among the many Soma formulations. Note that, technically, the active ingredient(carisoprodol) should be the same in all brands, and so, technically, it should feel the same. BUT Soma is made by many different manufacturers, and is notorious for the inconsistency among brands.

That said, the V's are actually considered a good brand to my knowledge, and I have never noticed any difference between them and the Dan's, though I have noticed a substantial loss in quality on the other brand of Soma I tried(can't remember the imprint, but it is just a few numbers, and is made in India) But at the same time, a friend of the "family" who takes Soma as they're drug of choice swears the Dans are better than any other brand, though they also say the V's come in second.

So basically I have never noticed a difference between the V's and Dan's, though in any case, it is worth noting that Soma has a bad reputation in this sense, and it may be worth it to make sure you find a "pharmacy" which carries your brand. ;)
