solubility of 5 meo dalt

Well i have done allot of reading and cant find much on this chemical with solubility so i come here to ask for personal experiences that anybody might have with it. I would like to know if it is soluble in isopropyl alcohol without changing the composition of the compound? Also how many mgs/ml do you think i would be able to fit? i was hoping to do 100 mgs per ml if possible so i can drop a half ml on a sugar cube without melting it.

I know isopropyl alcohol isnt the best to use so dont give me shit but in small amounts it is not dangerous at dose level and for sugar cubes i find it best, atleast with 2c's because it dilutes the chemical well and evaporates quick to wrap sugar cubes with foil fast rather than sitting out all night.

Why would you need to put it on a sugar cube?

You should just take it as is, it works great that way.

Don't use isopropyl alcohol to dissolve your drugs for oral administration, that may very well poison you.

I hope you arent hatching this plot to pawn this off on unknowing person's, that would be wrong on many levels.

One thing i dont do is misrepresent my drugs. I tell anybody who takes them exactly what it is and how they will feel and 9 out of ten they come back for more. Case in point mephedrone has become an overnight hit here as an ecstasy replacement. Another reason i want to put it on sugar cubes is to have it dosed out for friends who might want to take some home with them. I use isopropyl alcahol and let it evaporate all the way because it is faster than any other solvent and cheap. It takes way more than what i use to dose to get one sick or harm them but by the time they get it all the solvent has evaporated. Of course i wont dose them on cubes right away but i have a 4 oz amber dropper bottle that i would like to dilute the chemical in for easy ingestion and dosing and i want to fit between 50-100 mgs per ml and i want to know if anybody thinks its possible before i do it. Of course i can experiment with it but I would like opinions on the matter. I was thinking maybe dose it on large pieces of watercolor paper that i printed alex grey designs on.

since you clearly have enough of the compound to do a solubility test, I suggest you read some intro chemistry texts and figure out how to DO solubility tests.

5-meo-dalt that I have seen is usually the freebase, which means it is not soluble in water at all, and probably only slightly soluble in isopropyl alcohol.

you could try mixing up a bit of acidic water (distilled water + vinegar, or citric acid crystals, or crushed vitamin C pellet, or whatever) and see how soluble your 5-meo-dalt is...

in general the way you do a solubility test is:

weight out an appropriate amount of chemical (for example 100mg)
and place it in a clean, dry glass container (A).
measure out a small quantity of your solvent into a separate glass container (B), preferably one that is graduated (has markings that tell you volume).
using a pipette or dropper, move some solvent from the second container (B) into the first one (A)
swirl (A) and gently heat the container using a warm water bath.
keep close eye on the powder that you are trying to dissolve. you should be able to tell when you are getting close to the right amount of solvent.
when the powder is dissolved, simply write down the new volume of (B) and subtract it from the original volume of (B). this tells you exactly how much solvent you ended up using.

if you take good notes, you should be able to calculate the maximum mg per mL for the solvent that you test. You probably will have to try many different solvents before you find the best one for your job. but I don't think you can get anywhere near 100mg/mL unless you use some kind of aromatic hydrocarbon (toluene, xylene) to dissolve the freebase, and in that case you MUST be sure it evaporates completely before ingesting!

Acetone will probably be a good solvent. Less than 1 or 2ml of acetone a dose will be fairly non-toxic, especially if you let it evaporate first.

I actually dont have the money to buy a new solvent and i have isopropyl laying around so i will test it on 100 mgs and drop that on a cookie, let it dry then eat it. That should give me an idea of how soluble in the alcahol it is. But i will try acetone or something else when i get more money to try and dissolve the chemical. I would like to try and test it on large pieces of watercolor paper with designs to make it look kool for partys as i have done with 2ce. Once again i am not passing my chemicals off as anything as the friends i party with know what i give them before eating and some i have even been able to get them to read the msds on it but some people i know as many others probably know peeps like this, just dont care and want to get high. Alot of this is for personal pleasure because i have fun playing with the chemicals and its just as fun laying the blotter and cubes as it is to eat them. I just trip out on the fact that i made it that way as much as i do actually tripping on it. My next step is getting pure lsd as i would love to lay some of my blotter collection with that but sadly i have a hard time getting it.

acetone at a hardware store is like 6 bucks & more than you'll ever need. Also, if you were just asking about solubility it would be fine, but since you're obviously planning on distributing this (as well as other things) i'm going to close the thread. Try not to incriminate yourself too much on public forums.

Also, MSDS usually contain solubility info, IME
