Try to space out your usage so you only eat MDMA about once a month. It'll make it better. Hope you keep having a great time!

Got Pepper Sprayed at EDC this Year

Well, not directly luckily, but headin down to the kinetic field was a tightly packed crowd and a fight broke out. Then some stupid raver chick lets off a big shot of pepper spray out and everyone started breathin it in and coughin.

A riot broke out and everyone pusheddown the fence to get away from it. Me and da homie started swingin fist at that point and ended up makin it to see deadmau5 on the main field.

Only took one bean this year after my month break, im doin good and dont wanna fuck it up. After this years madness I aint got no desire to roll again anytime soon.

I cant believe how bad getting pepper sprayed hurts your eyes, chest, and sinus when your rollin. Why do people bring weapons to raves ? :(

U shouldve gotten her spray and put a lil on her and b like how the fuck do u like it?!! Lol

Nice..I was on Kinetic field during Deadmou5 set when we rioted and jumped on stage. That was my EDC memory for me... 100 or so of us made it on stage onto the trampolines until security finally put us all back in the VIP section. But Wolfgang Gartner KILLED IT . Hands down best set EVER at EDC.

EDC was such a blast.....So many good memories. It's too bad it made the news for the number of medical emergencies, though. That kind of publicity is really bad for this increasingly popular scene.

My only issue was that it was just so crowded.....Main stage was closed very early on Saturday. I ended up only spending a few minutes on the floor of the coliseum on Friday. The other stages were amazing anyway, and I saw a lot of DJs I wouldn't get to see otherwise.

medical emergencies are what happen when you promote ignorance over safety. This is part of the reason i'm not a huge fan of massives.

Who is promoting ignorance over safety? The company? The police? I agree that there is WAY too much ignorance, stupidity, recklessness, etc. at massives, but the same can be said for house parties, clubs, hell, anywhere you combine alcohol or drugs with a crowd of people. It happens at small raves too, but the incidents aren't so numerous because the event isn't as big. What should happen differently to make massives better?

I don't mean to start a debate, I'm just very concerned about this and want to hear what you have to say, AylaV.

So it occurred to me that I spend a shocking proportion of my life on the PD social thread and yet I don't know any of you people over here on ED. I'm candyflipping - err whatever 2CE-flipping is called - my balls of right now :)

...And you're all asleep? Boo, back to PD Soc it is. Us tripping kids have all the fun ;)

There are lots of things that can be done to make massives safer, for instance, don't charge $5 for a bottle of water, and don't have security guards monitor sinks to make sure people aren't refilling their bottles. That right there creates an incredibly hazardous situation.

Provide adequate ventilation. I have been to raves where there was no ventilation in the building and it was easily over 100 degrees in the building and the heat was causing people to puke all over the place.

I'm sure I could think of a lot of other examples, but those are the major ones off the top of my head.

Party planners/promoters most often don't give a fuck about keeping their guests safe, they care about making a lot of money. That seems to be the way it is from what I have observed at the few parties I have been to.

I was happy to see water bottles for $3 at EDC this time. Water certainly is way too expensive though. No security guards were preventing girls from refilling their bottles in the sink. The Insomniac cards must have been a bust, because everything was just for cash.

Poor ventilation is the main reason I prefer open-air raves....The one and only time I've been to the Hudson, it was so hot and stuffy that I was getting sick.

Can't seem to get the EDC memories out of my head....I have a feeling that I will be doing a lot of raving this summer. :)

^ I agree! The whole thing kind of left me wanting more, probably because I only went on Friday. There's a certain event in late July featuring Bassnectar that I'm pretty excited about, though... :)
