Hey Renz, would you happen to know how Rehab compares with Insomnia as far as the early morning club scene goes? I have a couple friends who live down there that are way over Insomnia and always go to Rehab nowadays, and was wanting a second opinion lol.

It really matters about your circle of friends. Insomnia will probably always stay the big top dog in afterhours clubs until something serious goes down. Eternal was really gaining popularity, but then some kid got shot. Not sure how things are going now there.

Rehab, insomnia, and eternal are the ones I hear about the most. I havn't heard a lot about insomnia lately, so I'd say rehab or eternal.

I don't do afterhours really.

Just a little amp at around 1 or 2ish and I'll probably use a little alcohol later to put me to sleep.
 
I've actually never been, but have had A LOT of friends go, and would like to experience at least once. I've heard VIP is the only way to go though, as a lot of those clubs are reminiscent of Depp's ether trip as far as how everyone just seems reptilian-like and disgusting. A/C is always nice as well.

I snorted a couple of phentermine tonight. Hadn't done any in about 3 or 4 months, and while my tolerance is still high, I can actually feel them tonight. Think I'm gonna go for a 3rd actually. Snorted one about 2.5 hours ago, then snorted my second one at around T+01:30 (point of peak plasma levels). Would be nice to get a 3rd one down before absorption of the first one is completed. And I'll be set for a while as half-life is 16-31 hours. Duration of action is on the lower side of that though.

i'm not pissed at you man, more worried than anything. it just gets old hearing the same old thing over and over when we all give you our love and support with ideas to help you get along and we seem to get ignored. you know what i mean?

good to hear you got outta the house, brother, it would have done you good especially seeing a friend and you got some decent sleep. sleep dep can make us do some strange shit and really fuck with our mental state of being. we all need as much good nights rest as possible so we're performing optimally.

what'd you and your friend get up to?

i'm not working today and will probably swing by my mates place within a few hours to join him in doing some mixing and fucking around with the Tracktor software and just hang out. he's just bought himself a new van which we're going to set up as a weekend project so he can go travelling and have everything he needs in it, sound system and decks included. it's going to be sick as. we might even get around to having a chop at it this weekend if no drinking is involved:D

We just caught up. I hadn't seen her in a while, and her BF has been in jail, and she's been stuck at the house with the kids, so she could have used the company as well. She also lives way out in the middle of nowhere as well, so she never sees anyone until her kids come home from school lol. She's recently become unemployed (right before her man got locked up and shortly after he got laid off as well), and has had to pawn her TV, and they didn't have much to begin with to begin with, so talking was really all we could do lol.
 
damn, sorry to hear about her situation. i'm sure she would have got a great feeling from you visiting her, man. you're a good friend. i'm sure she could do with all the support she can get at the moment so try keep as much contact with her as possible. hell, maybe she's someone you could find yourself confiding in as well as you're not doing so great yourself, helping each other out with talking things through and all that. just don't go trying to stick one in her you cheeky fuck;)

and yeah i had a feeling it was late night friday there, entheo. it's just after 2pm here in the future.

We've been at that point for a couple years already lol. And I would never try to fuck her; her BF is a really close friend of mine as well (and I'm one of the few guys he trusts her with).

Man I'm jealous. I have a friend with a home studio and all the software a person could ever want to mix with for that professional sound. I'd love to be over there right now. Haha.
 
yeah it's pretty sweet, man.

he's essentially got a mini-home studio and i've been helping him set it up for a while since we get together and do a bit of collaborating from time to time. i'm only a beginner and more on the side of the midi controller myself. i've got a decent behringer UMX90 keyboard midi controller which hooks straight into it.

we both work for a DJ/Party FX Business which makes it all the better for getting experience with gigs. for the most part i'm involved in the setting up of the equipment - so a roadie at this point. once i get some more experience and familiarity with the mixing and playlist side of things i'll be able to be left alone doing the gigs myself.

this is my rig. you'd be able to appreciate the german equipment, yeah;)

That sounds awesome man. I'm gonna get Native Instruments soon. Hopefully get the full set-up and mix a little here and there.

Are you into music production at all? Like with House-EDM? What programs would you recommend?
 
i use Native Instruments myself and have a program called Kore which is all my synths/effects for the keyboard.

i'm actually more interested in the production and sampling side of things rather than the whole mixing to be honest but at the moment am just having fun fucking around with different effects and whatnot while my friend is mixing and throwing samples in. i'm really new to the game and rusty and trying to pick up where i left off as i stopped playing around with things for a long while there.

i can't recommend Native Instruments enough. Garage seems like a good program as well but i don't own a mac so am not overly familiar with it. one of my next steps is buying a decent mac so i can really start taking things serious and to the next level and start recording my own things without the worry or my PC under performing/crashing and having compatibility issues with my friends gear as he's exclusively mac.

I also do sound production on my PC.
From samples in tunes, to basslines, synths and post production.
I have had a few of my efforts cut onto vinyl that have been used by a few DJ friends of mine in clubs in the UK.
Let me know if you would like to hear a few of them.
I also do post production and with video and sound for certain projects (eg. tourism dvds, events etc).
I use the Sony software for fine tuning (Vegas (video), Acid (sound) and DVD Architect for DVD authoring).
For producing from scratch I would use a combination of software ranging from Cubase, Fruity Loops, Ableton live and many more. I would polish up using Sony Acid Pro.

This is my first post on the OD Social... I don't know why I always looked over it, glad I found it psh haha.

Friday night party pack: 6mg clonaz, 2.6 alprazolam, diamorph (IV & Insufflated half gram), insufflated/vaped 0.2g methamp, and finshed off the night sniffin' up 10mg oxymorphone and a bowl of hydro.

Saw some old friends visiting from Columbus, OH, so it was a good time.
