For my Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) I used with success (but separatly):

1) TRAMADOL (200 / 300mg daily) : help very nice my SAD

2) AMISULPRIDE (SOLIAN) 50mg at once in the morning FANTASTIC for my SAD but works well during 6 months only then pop up (tolerance ???...)

3) The only Benzo I was using for SAD is DIAZEPAM : Valium : but I'm to tired during the day with this one and it is not really effective

Other benzos are shit (even Kpin)

ALL anti depressant drugs are pure shits (like EFEXOR, PAXIL,...)

WHAT IS YOUR EXPERIENCE, WHAT's your favorite drug for SAD ?

THANKS

PS : only relative light drugs must be suggested don't talk about Heroïn, OXY, Cocaïne, GHB... %) thanks

IMO clonazepam (klonopin) has been my favorite benzo for treating anxiety. It's very subtle in the sense that it doesn't necessarily make you feel high or even aware your on something.

If i take 3mg klonopin a day i'm great throughout the whole day and can clearly notice a decrease in my anxiety levels. 3mg may even be a bit high, i can get by just as good on 2mg.

Alprazolam (xanax) to me kinda sucks. more recreational in the sense that it kicks in quick and gives you a drunk sorta feeling. But as for you and I, a pill that offers better anxiety relief is what we're looking for.

KLONOPIN MY OPINION

clonazepam is probably the best out there for general anxiety.

alprazolam is more for panic attacks, thats why they kick in so fast. they're not really for taking everyday to prevent them. you take it when you feel a panic attack coming on, or when you're having one. they reduce anxiety, but again, not something to take everyday, more of an as needed type drug.

for me diazepam does the trick pretty much

i've never been scripted diaz. just alpraz, clonaz, and temaz.

clonazepam is by far my anti-anxiety of choice.

phatass have you used clonazepam? if so how does it stack up against diazepam in terms of anxiety relief, duration of relief, and any other main difference.

I agree with Phatass, about Benzo for genaral anxiety disorder , Valium is the best (for me). I don't like Clonazepam.

But I'm talking more for the specific S.A.D. (Social Anxiety Disorder)

I found Tramadol or small dosage of amisulpride (SOLIAN) (50mg/day) much much better than all benzo

For your information :

- Amisulpride at high dosage (> 400mg/day) is an antipsychotic drug used for positive symptoms of schizophrenia, including hallucinations, delusions...

- At low dosage (50mg/day) this drug threat negative symptoms like social withdrawal, apathy (decreased motivation), poverty of speech (brief replies)

This low dosage is fine for a S.A.D. (never go up to 100mg/day for negative symptoms or ask your psy)

Note : Amisulpride (SOLIAN) is absolutely not recreational !!!

anyone had an experience with Solian or Tramadol for S.A.D. ?

Diazepam is the only benzo I've been Rx'd and i found it better for sleep than SAD, 20mg a night done the trick

Most people on BL know how much i dislike clonazepam... i find it not recreational (30mg's with 5p pints of beer... nothing) and i also took it therapeuically and found it didn't do anything for my anxiety...

BUT, when i ran out of benzos a week early and only could get hold of clonazepam i took it to keep withdrawls at bay... 3mg clonazepam=50mg diazepam and 1mg loprazolam that i'm scripted daily... so it works for W/D for me but thats it

Clonazepam or Alprazolam, hands down. Basically my SAD only comes from my GAD, so maybe that's why these two work so well for me. I'm simply anxious, not only in social situations, so once a general layer of anxiety is swept away I can function very well in social situations. Too bad benzos are soooooo addictive, they're simply not useful for me on a day to day basis unless I want to be on them for life, so I only use them when going out partying as it makes it much more enjoyable, plus I save money only needing a couple drinks all night.

Sure. I've been using tramadol for a long time. Before I discovered tramadol I noticed I was a very anxious teen and had social anxiety as well. After starting tramadol those ailments disappeared. Tramadol seems to be great for all kinds of mental disturbances.

My daily dosage for pregabalin is 600mgs in 4 increments throughout the day.

It blunts noradrenaline production. So you won't feel like running away when you talk to a random chick you know is too hot for you.

Lexapro worked wonders for my SAD, but it took a month before I started noticing full effects. I feel so much better, plus working out and staying clean from drugs also really helped.

Dunno why your saying all antidepressents are shit....maybe you havent found the right one??

I went through 2 different anti psychotics and 4 different anti depressents (paxil, zoloft, efexor, and finally lexapro) until I found that lexapro was the best. It really has saved my life and I feel great.

And btw, anti depressents are not even close to the true EVIL of benzos. If your looking for a cure of SAD then thats the worst thing you could possibly do because good luck coming off.

And yes im aware coming off of anti depressents is bad as well, but nothing compared to benzo addiction.

Good luck.

wow man! 30mg of clonaz? isn't that a really really big dose? And i agree it's not very recreational I was just saying it's been my most effective benzo for treating anxiety.
