Just staring off, either into space or at walls.

Or "flaneur" if you want to be french about it.

I realise not everyone is into checking out the areas under freeway overpasses, and back alleys and train stations like I am,

I looove doing this. I run a bit and I always check out places like this. I love graffiti and nothing gives me a thrill like finding a new piece by an artist I know in some out of the way spot. My friend is also a photographer so we're planning on doing a journey like this soon and taking some mad snaps.
I'm interested in this http://www.caveclan.org/

One of my fav things to do is read the sunday herald sun newspaper with some good food ;)

OT:
that's nice! is it true that it fucks up your feet, though?
either way, keep it up :)

Not sure haha. After 18 years of gymnastics and dance my whole body's a bit fucked up I don't know what specifically I can blame on ballet ;)

I stopped ballet a while ago just because without so much cardio it didn't seem worth it... I'm not a yoga person but it's basically become the equivelent of what everyone tells me they get from yoga.

Swimming is an awesome sober activity.. although on poppy pod tea its REALLY awesome but ohwell its good sober too.

You can do many things sober.....It's called moderation. If getting fucked up is the only thing that you have in life, then you need to get a life.:|

In a thread where all the contributors have been coming up with helpful and inspiring ideas on how to go about 'getting a life' while being sober, this is a bit of a " no duuuuh" (and unhelpful) comment... 8)

Personally, the things that I find most enjoyful whilst sober are reading and doing some kind of creative activity like painting or writing. Unfortunately, all other activities are usually improved by adding a few drugs into the mix... Still, nothing beats sobriety + getting high on life. Dancing is also really fun when I'm sober, only it takes me longer to get warmed up.

GET WET GET INTO THE WATER!

even if its cold, you always feel renewed when you get out and change into some nice comfortable clothes or in summer you just lie back in your boardies and sunbake. sunbaking! for me personally, a bit of sunburn really brings on the natural endorphins. (yeah cancer and all that i know, but i got good skin so :p)

grab a pen and draw, write, get your stress out. try and draw 3d drawings of things you like, it seems to take all your awarness and focus but without having to try and focus if you get what im saying?

Ooh yeah! And spinning staff and contact juggling (or any juggling) as well as riding things down steep hills are all great! I forgot to mention those!

ultimate frisbee, football (american) with friends, softball, wiffleball, kickball, tennis, golf, volleyball, etc.
working out is great, if you push yourself hard enough (i do between 40min to 1.5 hours of cardio a day in addition to weight training) you'll get an awesome natural high.
zen meditation is fantastic.
writing music (although this can trigger me sometimes.)
cold approaching hot women at fucking walmart or whatever.
trying new clothes, hairstyles etc. to look your very best.

Woke up this morning and took the dog for a walk

It's sunny today and just walking feels so good... Plus I get lost in the sound of my feet crunching against the dirt... After a while it just takes my brain away...

*crunch* *crunch* *crunch* *splash* (puddle) *crunch* *crunch* *crunch* *crunch*

<3plus the dog loves it... it's so good for them to excercise <3

:)
