Poppy tea does suck, especially when you have to shoot 4 oc80s to get a buzz. I dont like the stimulant effect, and get headaches everytime. Fresh poppy pods for use in refinment to heroin is good stuff, but dried poppy tea is liquid dog shit.
Theres no doubt that you guys with lower tolerances get high from this, but i wont deal with anything but fresh pods. Even then, I'd rather shoot a 10mg fentanyl patch, then deal with the headache of refinement.

if i had to shoot 320mg of oxy to get high i would rethink continued drug use and at least lower my tolerance.

Though obviously the basics would be the same does anyone have any experiance with growing poppies in the southern hemisphere, particulary Australia. I know that Tasmania has plantations on it but know little of the details about them.
Is the Australian climate well suited to poppies and when would be the ideal planting times?

Just to reply to the last post,Tazmania produces lots of the worlds pharmaceutical grade morphine and opiates,as a pure source of opium was hard to find so they decided to grow there own,apparently the papaver somniferum grown in tazmania have a distinct blue seed.
The best source for your seeds is to buy some ornimental p.somniferem,dried from your local flower shop.They grow fine in most climates,they luv wasteland type places to grow,and are very hardy plants.
But unless u have a huge patch of them its hardly worth the effort unless its just a hobby.
Your better off purchasing the dried poppies then extracting the opium then go on to extract the morphine and then turn into whateva u want!!!if u knmow how.........(another story)
about one bunch of dried poppies gets u average of 5grams of opium,which should be around 3-10% morphine,so its well worth it.
Just to let u know it is illegal to grow poppies in the uk especially for the purpose of cultivating opium,but they can be safely grown for ornimental purposes here.

Well at least I have the common sense not to grow poppies. 20 flowers for a gram of refined opium... please, like I said I'd rather just get a bag of dope for 10 bucks that will get me higher for longer then your poppies. I wonder if poppy tea could be used for other opiate withdrawl?
Because the poppy high is much more subtle and lasts longer. From my experience with heroin, and poppy tea I would say the tea could be usefull. But then again the tea itself would be hard to taper off of as well.

Hence the likely hood the poster goes around picking any old poppies he see's thinking it's going to get him high.
I don't know many grannys who grow the type of poppies we're talking about.

There are plenty of opium poppies(p.somnifernum)growing in gardens all over the U.K. believe me.
Just go and have a look.
Each dried head provides 1000's of seeds and will be enough for a lifetime.
If making poppy tea u are best using dried poppies as if they are fresh the taste is disgusting and u will end up with loads of chloraphyl in it+more....eg,tannins etc.
the head and the 1st 10cm below the head is good for opium,then its best put in a coffee grinder,to a powder then make your tea!!
Best slowly stewed not vigourously bolied as this may cause the morphine molecules to break down resulting in loss of strength.
then evapourate the water and dry with hair dryer and store your opium in a dry air tight container till ready 4 use.

if u try evapourating the water by leaving out in the open air,chances are u will get mould forming in the solution so keep stiring or pop it in the oven,use your initiative.
