So Who Likes Benzos? Ver III: Blackouts and Amnesia

Me needs my benzo.

I know I'm addicted, but I have clonazepam drops when the moment comes to titrate the taper.

^ It's alright, I like the sedation and muscular relaxation it causes. By itself it's OK, with opioids it is quite nice.

So Mr Blonde, what benzo would you say had the least euphoric effects but quite strong anxiolytic and slight muscle relaxant properties and/or even help as a sleeping aid in higher doses?

Cheers for any help or advice big fella :)

no i'm not tapering down i just switched doctors so i can't get the same dosage anymore and i mean it's hard to get that good high without under doing it and overdoing it

You're after mainly an anxiolytic? I'd probably suggest alprazolam, great for panic attacks and I personally didn't find it that euphoric. For longer acting suppression of anxiety, lorazepam is fairly decent and it is one of my favorite benzodiazepines. :)

gosta have ma benzos they what keep me sane:| 6-10 mg xanax a day most of the time its the lower ammount as thats what im perscribed, but damn its hard to keep ot that schedule, its a love /hate thing though, our relationship has ben thru some bad patches;)

Does anyone here have any experience with midazolam? Particularly the 5mg/1ml vials? I don't think I'm up to IM'ing them but was considering nasal administration.

i saw an episode of law & order with midaz on it the other day and it made me very curious lol.
didn't sound like something that would be common in australia cause we're getting all nannied up

You will need a couple of 5mg vials to be knocked out IV. But nasally you can just keep spraying until you get to required level.

Midaz is not that common in australia because how many doctors script IV/IM meds?

^ None, they just get diverted into willing hands. ;)

What dose should be used IN? If the dose is too great I will just go IM... lefty you may have to help me out with that. :)

I didn't use to like temazepam. But over the past year I've developed more of a taste for benzodiazepines and I quite like the sedative and muscle relaxant properties of it. :)

Me neither. I'm definitely a alprazolam boy! ;) I have said this previously, but I can take 5mg temaz and it knock me out. However I've never found temaz to be recreational, it works perfectly for what it's usually prescribe for!

Well my doctor did. Mr blonde how much codeine u using daily now days?
I would IM it depending on how much u got and how much more you can get.
No point wasting 10mg nasally but IV that and it might knock you out. I know it takes heaps to knock me out over 60mg IV but my tolerance is high. But being knocked out on it is no fun you just go to sleep which is a waste imo.
Midaz is a great mixer cause you can quickly boost your other sedatives.

now i'm prescribed 6mg of xanax/alprazolam a day but i used to be prescribed 12mg a day

Do you use daily?
If so how did you get ya dose down to 6mg?
Its pretty bad thing to be scripted that much xanax by 1 doctor. i mean a few days without a dose and you will be having a seizure. I have had benzo withdrawal seizures and i can tell you they come on without warning.

Extremely amnestic stuff... Whew.

I have to vote diazepam being the most suited to this purpose though it is a bit recreational. I personally find alprazolam's rebound effects far too strong. For me, nearly every time it follows a similar pattern: anxiety relief for about 90 min or so, followed by rebound effects/ nasty headache.

Clonazepam also works pretty well for your intended purpose. Clorazepate is very good as well, it is somewhat mild in effects and works great if you want more of a drug that works in the background. It also has the virtue of being one of the less addicting benzos.
