So Who Likes Benzos? Ver III: Blackouts and Amnesia

Stick to long acting benzo in the long term you will be glad you did. Alpraz is a nasty benzo so much so that i used to give my xanax away and stick with other benzos.
Lorazepam would be a much better option or clonazepam.
Both of those work heaps better with codeine.
Mr blonde have you tried quinine or norflex?

Word of caution with alprazolam, it is much more addicting than most other benzos. IIRC there were shown to be withdrawal symptoms after eight days in one study. Also there is the issue of interdose rebound effects... just something to keep in mind! Good luck

Temazepam is clinically shown to be the most addictive Benzodiazepine.

lol based on what?
temazepam lost its 'luster' for me after two nights of use.

Temazepam or 7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-3-hydroxy-1-methyl-5-phenyl- -1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one is very fast and short acting hypnotic Benzodiazepine. It is considered with Alprazolam and Triazolam to be one of the most addictive Benzodiazepines.

The reason for it's higher addiction rate is its level of euphoria. It is extremely dose dependent and greater doses are needed quickly to "chase that feeling" so to speak. It is highly psychologically addictive.

This thread is like a metaphor for the thought processes of a benzo user.

love
hate
addiction
withdrawals
weakness
strength
pleasure
potentiation
contentment
freedom
contemplation
nostalgia
happiness
yearning
excitation
pain
ecstasy

Lesson: know yourself. Know your substance. Tolerance sux. Withdrawals suck worse.

Educate yourself.

^ LOL my first benzo experience was more umm reserved, 20mg first night 90mg the next.
no euphoria, just to help me sleep, but barely worked.
like i said earlier in the thread, benzos don't seem to hit me the same as other people on quite a few levels, luckily that seems to include no withdrawals.

but...
pinkanga is right, educate yourself before taking benzos.
we talk some shit in here, but we also do alot of reading and researching.
would hate for people to get the wrong idea about some of the negative side of benzos.

having said that...
i'm having trouble sleeping again due to anxiety which leads to muscle tightness which is hugely present when attempting sleep (compared to my day to day anxiety which isn't too bad). my GP hates benzos and isn't keen at all on xanax, which i've found to be better than any Z drug at recently. i know i've asked this earlier but didn't really get a reply, out of the more powerful hypnotic benzos, am i likely to have success on a 'standard' dose given my tolerance, and which is either preferred or more successful?
i mainly need to reset my sleeping pattern as my pain is kinda ok atm.

half life doesn't bother me.

i've taken oxazepam, bromazepam, alprazolam, diazepam, temazepam, clonazepam, flunitrazepam, triazolam, nitrazepam and more recently lorazepam and phenazepam.

Temazepam, nitrazepam and flunitrazepam provide the most euphoria and best experiences. Though I mainly combined nitrazepam and temazepam with residual diazepam and alprazolam in my system most times.

I look forward to getting my hands on some nimetazepam, midazolam and lormetazepam.

My temazepam experiences range from 20mg to 300mg. Though I got the best results from 20mg temazepam, 2mg alprazolam, 40mg diazepam and 15mg nitrazepam. Which admittedly wasn't a result of straight temaz usage but was incredibly euphoric.

lol thats quite a mix...
no shit that it was euphoric haha.

haha +1...

mabey ease up on the benzos a bit?

Lol that was prescribed to me. Good old doctors. When I got put in the psych ward they tapered me down. i was only on 6mg of alprazolam a day though, I met people in there that were prescribed 12mg a day. Which is above the mims recommendation.

And yeah pisspotnrock. I'm dead sober from Benzo's. Well kind of...

fuckin hell. 12mg a day.... Thats one headspace I would not like to be familiar with.

I was prescribed 6mg Alprazolam, 40mg Diazepam, 20mg Temazepam daily and 15mg of nitrazepam as needed. With 1000mg of seroquel, 600mg of sodium valproate and 20mg escitalopram on top of that.

Lets just say I had a walk in medicine cabinet hah. It was a fucked up head space.

The ladies on 12mg a day were being drastically cut off it and their body tremors were scary...

Holy fuck. I know its all relative and the information is potentially meaningless without knowledge of tolerance and other variables.... but fuck it sure sounds like a lot.

What would happen if you didnt take anything? Eye contact with anyone would induce a feeling of profound paranoia that they could read your mind? Suddenly "sure" that they were thinking/laughing at you because of some perceived self-doubt regarding identity/ego issues?

I guess the list could be endless.

How the hell do you taper of a regimen like that?

Are you on your tapering down phase mrflowers or is this for an ongoing treatment? Sorry if I came across offensive I am just curious as that original dosage was quite high. I do understand your privacy if you don't want to respond. Also wishing you the best :)
