So who has used Tramadol?

^ Yep it does affect serotonin, among other things, and that makes the WD from tramadol that much worse. I am not a fan of this substance... good work getting off the tramadol though, sounds like you were dosing way over the safe maximum of 400mg towards the end.

Doesn't make a great deal of sense to compare Tramadol to Oxy's and the like.
First time I tried Tramadol I was relatively conservative because I had heard that high doses can induce seizures. So I started out with 300mg, took a fair while to kick in but when it did I quite enjoyed it. Slight opiate feeling, but much more energized, which was perfect for me at the time, I was able to cruise around town running errands whilst feeling nice and buzzy.
I much prefer Tramadol to Codeine, for me Codeine is rubbish, that's not to say it has no recreational value, I just personally don't like it. The last time I had Codeine I wanted to give it a decent go (having had very little luck with it in the past) so I dosed 550mg and felt vitually nothing at all, much less than I felt off 300mg of Tramadol.

I think Tramadol is very enjoyable, just depends what kind of high you are chasing. In terms of harm reduction I would always recommend caution which high doses of Tramadol, due to the increased risk of seizures.
However in terms of people chasing a much more opiate-like high, obviously Oxy's would be the way to go

I tried Tramadol for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. I had extremely low expectations because it seems that many people rate it low on the opiate/opioid scale of usefulness and enjoyability. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who gets something good from it.

Actually, I have used o-desmethyltramadol before using actual Tramadol, so I was curious to see how the two compared. I really liked o-dt and was hoping tramadol might be similar, if not as "clean" in its effect as o-dt.

First time I used 150mg tramadol and that was nice, then other times 400mg and 450mg (taken all at once) with 10mg diazepam and found it long lasting and pleasant without any nausea or other side-effects. One odd thing though, the seven or eight times I used it I consistently had insomnia of a similar degree to that of stimulants. I would feel relaxed and sleepy but after going to bed would simply lie there for five or six hours without sleeping. This didn't happen with o-dt.
