So where do we go from here?

Another day in a culture
out of alignment with the minds
that remain enprisoned to it.

I propose we dispose with
the misplaced values and empty ideals
to which we're urged to submit.

I'm sure we don't live life just
once, but to live life as if that were so
might be the most fruitful path.

Just want to live happy, free
and meaningful, why do they say
that this is far too much to ask?

Where do we go from here?
Right back to the ground from
which we were born?

This path we're on:
it's the death of diversity,
it's the death of freedom,
it decays our hearts and minds.

This road we pave here:
its with the blood of all
our prey and preditors,
for that which we compete
and our competitors,
a dangerous imbalance that will
kill all life and our own kind.

So where do we go from here?
Right back to the ground from
which we were born?

Or do we reach for the stars and
extend our consuming tendencies
and our hunger for control, and our war?

Is evolution the answer or
do we need a clean slate?
Is this path creative, productive
or is it all doomed, is it a waste?

Is evolution the answer or
could the answer lie in self-destruction?
Is evolution the answer or
must we return to roots through revolution

just to survive?
