In an igloo made of asbestos and chicken-wire.
So we decided to work through our writers' block.

By ‘we’ I mean ‘me’ of course,
Your input was confined to sleeping
But then it was past 2am
And it’s not like I was bitter about it.
Not really.

So we worked through our writers' block
With permanent marker
And well-chosen words
And the bedroom wall.
We really found the feeling.

It was a little cliché, I’ll admit.
But what poetry isn’t?
And I guess you did get to help with the final stanza
I gave you the morning sun for inspiration.

But you can finish that one on your own.

I like it too. Especially the sudden shifts, e.g. "By ‘we’ I mean ‘me’ of course," and the closing line. And I like how you continue to balance softness with real bite in your work.

I'm not sure about this though:

It was a little cliché, I’ll admit.
But what poetry isn’t?

;)
